Chapter 4: It's gonna be a show ii

"Marriage? One billion dollars?" Stella Harris had not thought about it since her heartbreak even though she knew she was not getting younger anymore. Looking at Chris Morgan, it was probably a perfect idea. Since Dada Capling had hurt her, what else?

She didn't care anymore. This man right here, even with his wealth that was a hundred times more than Dada Capling, has no reason to use her or any other woman.

Dada Capling had only kept her for selfish gains. She had to move on. Dada Capling had to pay for his evil deeds.

"What do you think?" Chris Morgan raised her jaw to look deep into her eyes.

"Us getting married makes sense. I agree to it." She finally accepted.

Smiling, Chris Morgan picked up his phone and called Ryan Spence to have his lawyers prepare marriage papers for him and Stella Harris to sign.

Stella Harris looked up. She was surprised.

That was so fast. This man knows how to make good decisions and act fast on them. She thought.

They felt peaceful and watched their movie together.

First thing in the morning the next day,

Chris Morgan's lawyers were already waiting for them downstairs in the sitting room.

"Get dressed and come join me downstairs, the lawyers are already in the sitting room waiting for us." Chris Morgan said and left.

Stella Harris: "..."

Was she about to marry a stranger? No, she didn't think so, she had been in his house for two nights. Chris Morgan had no bad issues. She was going to do this and never regret it.

After freshening up, she went downstairs to join the meeting.

"Good morning Miss!" The lawyers greeted her respectfully as she came down.

"Good morning!" She replied as she went straight beside Chris Morgan and sat.

The lawyers recognized her immediately but dared not speak as they were there for business.

Splitting the papers among the couple, they explained the rules.

Chris Morgan only looked at Stella Harris from time to time to be sure she was comfortable.

Soon, they were already legally married as they held their marriage certificate and agreement in hand.

The lawyers left after they were done with their job.

Chris Morgan stood up to leave. He needed to get to the office earlier today.

Looking at his wife, "What are you going to do today?"

"I will be heading to the company to work on my upcoming album. After this album, I'll cut all ties with him."

Like understanding what she meant, he gave her a peck on her cheek, promised to come home earlier, and left.

Smiling, Stella Harris stood up and called her manager to check up on things.

***

Morgan Clan

Chris Morgan at in the office, right on the president's seat as he went through the file his right-hand man had just brought in.

The file contains information about Stella Harris. Turning his chair to back his office door, he waved for Ryan Spence to leave.

"Yes Sir!" Ryan Spence said as he bowed his head and left the office quietly.

Stella Harris, on the other hand, was going through her marriage certificate at her new home.

Looking at his name, Chris Morgan, she could only think of a particular family but she wasn't sure. She then brought out her phone to check if she would find his name online.

Typing his name, she was surprised to see that he had no social media account but his name was all over the finance space on the internet.

Checking his family background, she was shocked when she saw some pictures.

He was actually from the famous Morgan Clan. Chris Morgan was the only son and the current president.

Stella Harris couldn't get over the shock for some time. She had been living with a Morgan and had even married their president.

Stella Harris after some time, came back from the shock. She didn't feel scared at her finding, instead, she felt fulfilled. This was the best thing that had ever happened to her. Choosing to marry him was her best decision ever.

She thought about a few things for a while before leaving the mansion.

Chris Morgan had helped her bring her car here so she was going to use it today.

On getting to Capling Entertainment, Stella Harris noticed everyone's gaze on her. She wondered what this was all about but didn't say a word as she went straight to the studio.

"Hi Stella Harris, the president wants to see you right away."

Someone came in to inform her when she had just entered the studio.

The president. That was Dada Capling. The cheating scum.

"What does he want this time?"

She asked under her breath before leaving the studio to go see him at his office.

"Come in." A male voice sounded arrogant after hearing a knock on the door.

Stella Harris didn't waste time opening it as she went straight to a chair and sat down.

Before she could greet them, the man threw a newspaper at her front in anger.

Looking at the man, Stella Harris felt disgusted.

This was her presumed husband-to-be, but now he was nobody but a fucking ex.

"Stella Harris explains this. Did you do this on purpose?" he thundered.

Picking up the newspaper, she opened it. It was about her performance last two days. After the performance, sting rumors were circulating all over that Dada Capling had hurt Stella Harris by cheating on her and breaking her heart into pieces thus dragging Dada Capling into the mud. Stunned, she didn't expect this. She had only sung her heart out, her fans did the rest. They looked so defensive of her as they dragged Dada Capling continually.

Smiling deep down, "And this is just the opening Dada Capling!" she said in her heart.

"You are not saying anything, Stella Harris." Dada Capling shouted.

Looking at him, "What do you want me to do about this? I never said this, it's a rumor." She replied defensively.

"Just a rumor? Well, this so-called rumor is bringing down my prominence. Fix it by discrediting the rumors." He commanded.

"Debunk the rumors? Of course,e she would debunk it. This will be a good show for you to watch Dada Capling. Just wait and see." She said in her mind as she looked at him.
