She felt her back slam on the ground, vision going dark for an instant before returning to normal, she sat up and quickly scanned her surroundings.
Nothing in the form of danger, she was surrounded by a thick foliage, judging by the dirt under her and the trees, it was one of those "normal" forests with thick brown trees and low bushes, just with more flora than usual.
"I uhh... So. I'm in a fantasy world? I mean, it sounded a whole lot like mine..." She said aloud, drifting off in thought, this world seemed to be the same as Earth but it's population was lesser and human settlements smaller.
Otherwise it had the exact same technology as Earth. What was different was the addition of Hayat energy, Chi energy and Motus energy.
The Angel didn't elaborate much on them, but she extrapolated that it was sorta like the trinity of body, mind and soul. Hayat being the energy of the body, Chi the soul and Motus the mind.
What the Angel did elaborate on was Totality State, she didn't pay attention, but it was pretty much the overall power level of a being. And it was composed of the three energies, ones innate power and their skill.
With all that in mind, and a calmer heartbeat she stood up and began walking through the foliage, eventually finding a path in the forest that was clearly man-made.
"Well, I hope the have phones, portable computers should be common in the multiverse right?" She murmured aloud. "Oh yeah, our memories were wiped from emotional stuff... Should make myself a new name,"
As she walked through the forest, waltzing foward like it was her own home, she thought and thought and thought.
Annie? Without an e?
Max?
Lucifera?
Amanda?
Nobara?
No. None of those names were good.
She tripped on a root, quickly steadying herself. That made her snap out of her train of thought, she smelled the air on instinct, there was a certain something in the smell.
It was the usual smell of leaves and plants, but something about just felt... wrong, like a warning.
"Well, well, well if it isn't a little isekai girl! So cute," said a stranger from high above in the canopy, it sounded female.
At the stranger's words, she jumped and yelped, on instinct her Motus jerked metaphorically, six branches fell on the ground, cleanly cut through. She looked down at the cut flora, was that her power? Slashing was op if it could cut through the canopy like that.
"Uhmm... Who are you?" She asked, looking up at the dark tree tops, she saw a certain spot as darker than other parts of the canopy, it was in the shape of a human. The smell was clearer now, a diluted deodorant.
'For a moment I thought I had danger sense," she thought with a subtle smirk, still not gripping the seriousness of the situation.
"Do you know what mercenaries are?" Asked the stranger, as the human shaped darkspot moved around a bit, there was a chirping sound before a bird fell from a treebranch.
She took a few steps away from the stranger, deliberated on replying, and then ran away. She pumped her legs as hard she could, running faster than she ever had in her life towards the original direction she was going to.
Behind her, there was the rustling of branches as the stranger spoke, "so rude! Why aren't you answering my question!?" The stranger yelled in a playful tone.
'Run! Run! Run! Run! Run! Erhmm.... how do I use my power!?" her thoughts were interrupted as a tree branch hit her back, she fell from the blow, dragging her face across the dirt, she inmediately got up and continued running, just barely being missed by something fast smashing on the ground.
Her heart pounded in her chest so far she felt like her body was throbbing, throbbing with strength and speed and a snap to her actions. She wasn't about to let some merc kill her!
She was scared shitless and that made her faster, the stranger laughed with a high pitched voice, enjoying this far too much.
"You're so fast! I'm actually having trouble keeping up! How are you so fan, little rabbit" the stranger yelled, sounding like a child playing around with a toy.
"I'm black!" She yelled back, tripping on a root but somehow staying on her feet, running away seemed like a natural skill of hers and the strangers laughter doubled, tripled, reached it's limit as the chase continued.
'Yeah! Yeah! This idiot is slow as f-' her thoughts were once again interrupted as she felt two blows to her back, knocking the wind out of her as she slammed on the ground below, multiple small rocks piercing her body superficially.
She screamed in pain, or at least tried to, as her breath hitched and she wheezed. Another blow interrupted her attempts at breathing, the stranger wasn't laughing anymore.
"You were fun to play with, heck, you're very fast. Made me use my innate power, that's impressive for you reborned folk," said the stranger, drilling a foot into her withers. "but oh well, that little potential of yours won't be realized, there's a bounty for reborn bodies like yours and I'm tight on money..."
She was in trouble, as corny as that line was.
'Think, think, think, think! How did you use that power?! How!?' She thought as she coughed, finally breathing in. She had felt a stir, deep inside herself, somewhere around her hip- no, stomach area and then-
"Die!" Screamed the stranger, thrusting a knife towards her back, aiming at the heart.
The stranger happened to blink mid-thrust, simply a coincidence due to the timing of the attack and their relaxed stated, having gotten so used to killing it required no attention whatsoever. When the blink ended, the stranger was staring at their forearm flying above them, as darkness enveloped their vision.
Their final thought, a wordless confusion.
Once she could breath, she slowly got up, and without looking back, ran away.
'I have no idea how I did that, but I think I could do it again, anyways RUUUUUNNNNNN' she thought as trees and bushes zipped past her vision.
