Along the trek of their journey back to the Han Clan's Estate, Chi Cheng frequently requested his father to stop for breaks in between. His previously injured leg ached from the cold, slowing down his pace.

He would be protected under the guardianship of the Chi Clan temporarily until the Elders' Counsel of the Han Clan could be persuaded to decree a lighter punishment for his violations.

Chi Cheng was still unsettled about separating from his son but he didn't deny that Zou Jiayi would be accommodated safely under his sister's capable protection.

Chi Liwen would ensure his safety without a doubt.
