After parting ways with Zhu Zhiying, Chi Cheng sought out Han Leixin who was stationed on night duty at the Han Clan's stables. He dwelled in the swirling whirlpool of his thoughts, giving much contemplation to the goals he needed to accomplish.
Seizing the opportunity, Chi Cheng decided to explore the Frost Forest since he was no longer under Han Xuelian's scrutiny. He intended to investigate the outskirts of Xue Ling Ridge in hopes that he might discover crucial clues to the locations of his remaining lost tails.
Reaching the stables, Han Leixin immediately greeted Chi Cheng with a bow upon sighting him.
The older male smiled, his gaze trailing over to the neighing horses accommodated in each stall. The sound of hooves brushing against the snow ground sounded throughout the stables while the Inner Sect juniors tended to them.
