An hour into their journey through the inter-dimensional Forest, Chi Cheng had drifted off to sleep with his head resting against Huo Renyi's shoulder. Zou Jiayi had awakened, switching control of the body with Huo Renyi who retreated in relief.
"Do you like my son?" Chi Yulan questioned, arching her brow as she observed the way her eldest son familiarly clung to the Huo youngster. "You don't need to hide it. I'm not averse to the idea of my sons marrying other men."
Zou Jiayi resisted the urge to burst out into a fit of laughter. He always found it highly amusing that to the eyes of the societal masses, they assumed he was involved in a romantic relationship with Chi Cheng.
Yet, such feelings were a far cry from the love he bore for his former Master.
