Andrew's family had been living in Scotland, precisely a city known as Glasgow. Without a doubt it was the biggest city in Scotland but unfortunately Andrew had to move from Scotland to San Francisco. Living in Scotland was bringing bad memories because that's where his eldest sister had disappeared 11 years ago and had not been found. This led to the case being closed as there wasn't much evidence. Andrew had depression and his family thought that once they move, they could have a new beginning and live a fast paced life.
