Jonathan also takes a seat. "How did you know about this place?"
"I saw it when I first woke up." Kenny responded. "It was strange after that 'God' stopped talking just came in the rainforest."
"So, you were there with everybody else?" Jonathan was surprised he didn't recognize him.
Kenny sighed. "There was so many people and that guy was babbling on and on. I just didn't pay attention to even try to recognize anyone. Since I'm so damn unlucky I thought I just drew the short end of the stick."
"That's what's bugging me bro. The 'God' or whoever said he chose us at random. There's 7 billion people on the planet and out of them we are the 82 people who got picked for this? Do you know the odds of that happening?" Jonathan shakes his head trying to understand this.
"I don't have the exact number; if I had a calculator, I would do the math. But I know that it's ridiculous." Kenny thought about it trying to do it in his head.
"But that's my point what if this isn't random?" Jonathan puts his hands up. "What if there's a pattern we just aren't seeing it?"
Kenny just gave up on it. "You're the Bible expert does 82 mean anything?"
Jonathan takes a moment to think. "No." He lowered his hands down and shook his head. "Nothing that I can think of... But there's a reason me and you are together—we even got the chance to meet up this early."
"Let's stop being productive, okay? Instead of us talking about things we don't know, let's share what we do know." Kenny showed his wristwatch. "Like these."
"Yours is Green." Jonathan showed his.
"I wish he could at least let us choose the color I got a shitty lime green." Kenny looked disappointed. "At least you got blue."
"But isn't it your power that the lightning you used wasn't green?" Jonathan asked. "Maybe it's a hint towards your powers."
"Yeah, but the lightning It's a dark green for one and two. I hate the color green. Three, I don't even think green electricity is a thing." Kenny lowered his arm.
"Actually lightning can come in White, Red, Yellow, Green, Cyan, Blue, and Violet, to name a few." Jonathan explained while looking at his wristwatch.
"I never seen anything other than white flashes." Kenny then added. "It sounds to me like you're just talking about the rainbow."
Jonathan smiled. "We can use a rainbow."
"Eh?" Kenny stopped and he was befuddled. "Aye yo what do you mean by that one?!"
"A rainbow is a good sign; it's a promise from God to us. Not anything weird that you're thinking, man." Jonathan sighs. "Even now your mind goes to the gutter."
Kenny responds irritatedly. "It's hard not to have my mind in the FUCKING GUTTERS!" His voice echoed throughout the entire cave. "How the FUCK! Does that matter now? God is the reason my back is hurting sitting in this cave."
"That's not my God!" Jonathan immediately told him.
"Jon took us away in an instant, gave us superpowers, and created an island, according to him now. I don't want to fact-check it, but because of all the other stuff he's been doing, I'm assuming this is right. The size of Greenland and then randomly ploped it somewhere on earth for us to compete in a death tournament for a prize we don't even know what we are winning." Kenny laughs and he smirked. "The only thing I'm grateful for from this 'God' is that he got me out of that house."
"Don't say that!" Jonathan puts his hands on Kenny's shoulder. "YOU DON'T MEAN THAT!"
"Yes I do bro." Kenny said it with sincerity in his voice. It made him think back to everything he had been through. "I can finally say fuck without being criticized for it. The kicker is that, as I say It, it's a problem. But he says it, and there's no repercussion! I don't have to hide my life or worry about people spying on me. Feeling uncomfortable inside my own home and being forced into college. Who knows? Maybe the prize is a wish or something. I already know what I'll wish for Jon; I would want a better life, a better family, a sexy Swedish wife, or something. Maybe Spanish, just a hot wife." Kenny vocalizes out of his frustrations feeling dressed from his chains. "At least here, I can shoot out electricity from my hands and have a fighting chance. I'm just upset that you're here; neither you nor your mom deserve this. But even though I'm mad, part of me is relieved that my best friend is here."
"That just sums up my feelings." Jonathan took his hands of Kenny. "Mommy." He's imagining her panicking. "I wish I didn't have her to worry about. She's the only reason; I don't want to be here. If I wasn't just thinking about her, I wouldn't be as scared or anxious."
"You'll get back to her." Kenny ensures him.
"How did you activate your powers anyway?" Jonathan was hoping anything could help him figure out how to use his.
"I was being chased by those things, and I just stopped running. I was scared, but I couldn't run anymore; they were just too fast anyway. I knew they would catch me. I extended out my hands and then just zapped them. It just came off as fear and reflex; it was an adrenaline rush." Kenny showed his wristwatch. "It looks like my Kosher is going back up."
"Really?" Jonathan took a look at his status.
"Before I saw you It was at 11 and now it's 15." Kenny responded.
"So each time you use your powers It takes away 3?" Jonathan asked.
Kenny nods. "Just sitting down and resting restores Kosher but I don't know about HP."
"Did you also start off with 5?" Jonathan showed Kenny his wristwatch.
"Yeah and were both at three. I don't want to find out what happens when we hit zero." Kenny lowered his arm not liking where this situation could lead them to.
"Your score is five so you killed two and defeated one." Jonathan lowered his arm.
"What did you fight? It couldn't have been the wolf; you were surprised when it pulled up on you." Kenny had a bad feeling if it wasn't the wolf; he's just trying to imagine what other creatures are out there.
"It was a snake..." Jonathan laughs. "Like a normal snake. I couldn't tell you what breed or species I was never into that soft of thing. Truthfully, I don't like em."
"I think snakes are cool, just not when they're trying to bite you. But what would be even cooler is if he figured out your powers, which could help us out tons." Kenny spoke with a sense of urgency.
"We need to figure out my powers, learn more about Kosher, and learn how to recover HP. If possible, our goal should be to learn what this god is about and the prize for this whole thing." Jonathan said.
"We can't do any of that without some rest." Kenny thought it would be a good idea.
"I'm not tried." Jonathan yawns.
Kenny raised an eyebrow. "There's no point in pretending to be a tough guy. Who are you trying to impress?"
Jonathan shakes his head. "I wasn't trying to impress anyone; I really wasn't trying, but... I guess my mind wants to keep going. The body wants to shut down for a little while; there's just a mental overload, man."
"Still thinking about your mom?" Kenny asked.
"It's going to be on my mind the whole time." Jonathan said before closing his eyes.
"Goodnight Jon." Kenny said before closing his eyes shut.
"Goodnight bro." Jonathan responded before closing his eyes.
Jonathan and Kenny did sleep for around 6 hours when they lied their heads to rest. It was around sunset, and now the sun has gone down and the moonlight is glistening down on the island. Tossing and turning, Kenny was feeling uncomfortable lying on the cold, hard ground. He grunted in his sleep while shivering.
Jonathan's bare hands are touching the ground; there's a funny sensation. He can hear a heartbeat—no, three heartbeats. Two of them were entering the cave, and the other one was right in front of him. Then there's the movement and the shivering. shallow breathing, blood thickening, and body heat raising in certain areas. That's Kenny, so who are those approaching?
Right when he opened his eyes, he saw a fist coming down at him. Instead of getting punched, he was able to sense the movements of the individual while his hand was on the ground, weaving his head to the right.

"AGHHHH!" The man immediately pulled back his arm, and he clenched his wrist. Two of his knuckles were bleeding, and he was punching straight into the cave wall as hard as he could.
Kenny's vision was groggy; he got startled from hearing the shout, panicked, and saw a knife hurling straight at him. He narrowly evaded getting impaled right through the head because Jonathan grabbed his arm and pulled him out of the way.
"Wh-What-" Kenny screamed. "THE FUCK IS GOING ON?!"
The knife ricocheted off the cave wall, and it landed in the hands of the other assailant. Who held the knife up behind his head, glaring at Kenny, preparing to throw it again.
"RUN!" Jonathan tells him as he heads towards the exit.
Kenny followed behind Jonathan, but as he was running, he was stumbling. He's trying his best to prevent a trip, but he's still waking up. He doesn't know if he can keep this up. "Why are we getting chased in the middle of the night?"
"I don't know!" Jonathan shouted as he looked at his wristwatch.
The knife came flying through at great speeds and it stabbed Kenny in his shoulder. "AHHHH!" He dropped down onto the ground and he rolled to the side.
"Ken!" Jonathan stopped running, and he jumped, grabbing hold of his friend. Before hiding in a bush, inhaling and exhaling heavily.
"He stabbed me... Oh my God... That psycho killer son of a bitch really threw a knife at me." Kenny put his hand on the knife handle.
"What are you doing?" Jonathan whispered.
"I'm pulling this bitch out." Kenny responded.
Jonathan grabbed his pinky finger and pulled it off the handle.
"What the hell are you doing?!" Kenny looked concerned.
"I don't think you're suppose to pull it out." Jonathan told him while looking around.
"What the shit?! Why not?!" Kenny asked while grunting.
"May cause further damage. The object is actually helping to stem the blood flow. If you pull it out, you could bleed out or cause something to get worse. I'm pretty sure that's how that works." Jonathan wasn't confident in that answer. But he doesn't want to risk Kenny getting more injured or dying.
"Pretty sure?" Kenny goans. "Jon this shit hurts!" He puts his hand back on the handle. "I'm pulling this shit out!"
"Wait!" Jonathan said with panic. "I know it hurts, but listen to this. I figured out that our health recovers when we get rest, right? What if you take bleed damage? Just like in an RPG, you really shouldn't pull it out."
Kenny shakes his head. "Fuck my life."
"Where have they gone?" One of the attackers stopped and looked around.
"Couldn't have gotten far." Said the second attacker.
"Can't you pull out that knife you have in the Bloke?" The first attacker asked.
"Thee knife in the man can't come back unless I miss. I miss and it come back to me." The second attacker responds before taking out two more knives.
Jonathan and Kenny, while hiding, get a good look at their attackers, both of them with unique accents. The first guy's accent was nothing the two had heard before; it sounded like one from the United Kingdom, but they weren't sure where exactly. He had a lightweight blue windbreaker and gray sweatpants. The second attacker, the one with the knives, had an Arabic accent, light skin, and was wearing a Qatari Thobe.
"Stop!" Jonathan shouted out and he came out from the bush.
Kenny just stared at Jonathan, unsure of what he was doing. He stayed in the bush, but he looked scared; they were both immediately going to attack Jonathan.
"Don't attack!" Jonathan has his hands up in the air.
The second attacker has his knives ready to throw.
"Why not?" The first attacker asked staring at him. "And where's your mate?"
"He's gone we got separated." Jonathan maintains eye contact. "I just want to know why did you guys just attacked us? Who are you?!"
"Points." The second attacker says.
"Just for the points?"
The first attacker smirks. "Mate, do you not see what we are getting at? It's kill or be killed; whoever gets the most points gets the prize, and killing people earns you the most. So, in case you weren't too great at math growing up, your life is worth five whole points."
"How can you just be okay with killing people so easily like that? It's our first night on the island. It hasn't even been twenty-four hours. Don't you think that this is unreasonable?" Jonathan just can't grasp how quickly they've adjusted to this.
"If it ain't me or Hussain here, somebody else is going to do you in. The only way to survive on this island is through alliances. Haven't you watched a movie? Killing doesn't matter here, as long as you're the one who's doing the killing."
"Hussain?" Jonathan tried to push his luck. "What's your name?"
"Lyndon." He then thought. "Why the balls does that matter?"
"Instead of fighting, how about we work together? You said it yourself: an alliance is good for all of us involved, and we can exchange information with one another. Help me find a friend. We can hunt down others together. A four team is better than just two or three guys." Jonathan was trying to discussion a negotiation.

Lyndon charged Jonathon and swung at him from the shoulder with a straight right arm, pulling all of his weight into it. "Shit! Bullshit! I'm GETTING UNLUCKY!"
Jonathan got sucker punched right across the cheek. He fell to the left, and he held onto a tree for support. The inside of his mouth had a stinging pain. There was a bit of blood that he spat out from the harsh impact; his flesh on the side of his mouth had burst. He looked up at Lyndon. "Wh-Why did you do that?!"
"Because you're a lying dick head." Lyndon walked up to him. "Even if I believed you, I wouldn't join up with you. You don't even have your power."
Kenny, hiding in the bush, extends out his hands and releases his electricity.
