Ryan roamed around in the cold and dangerous city. He walked around and asked people if they could recognize his father and no one seemed to know him. Few people offered to help and report the issue to the police but he opposer strongly and ran off each time.
The sun was out and Ryan was getting really tired now. He hasn't eaten since daybreak. "I need to eat something soon. I'm getting tired" He mumbled and continued walking around.
He soon spotted a supermarket. Overwhelmed by hunger, Ryan didn't think twice before heading into the supermarket . He walked around staring at the huge shelves and stocks all arranged around the supermarket.
"There are lot of foods here. I bet they won't mind of I grabbed some?" Ryan mumbled and picked a doughnut and Milk. He slowly ate the doughnut, he soon finished it up and gulped some milk.
"What in the world are you doing thief!" A voice suddenly yelled from behind him. Ryan turned around to see one of the workers. "I didn't steal it sir. I took it because I was hungry" Ryan said meekly.
"And are you going to pay for it?" The worker asked. "I don't have any money on me sir. But I'm looking for my dad, he'll pay for these when I find him" Ryan replied. " We're suppose to let you eat what you want and wait till you find your father!?. Wait right there, I'm calling the cops!" The worker said.
"No, Don't phone the police please " Ryan pleaded. "oh I won't phone them. I'll call them!" The worker said and laughed sarcastically. He moved to the counter and grabbed the telephone. "Hi, we're calling again to report another theft. It's a little brat this time and he seems to be lost. Send someone over right.." The worker paused when Ryan suddenly made a run for it.
"What are you doing. Wait right there!" He yelled and chased after Ryan, who ran like his life depends on it. The worker wasn't backing down too as he chased Ryan down the road. "How are you running so fast you little shit!" He yelled.
Ryan reached a narrow wall and quickly went in-between the wall. The workers came to an abrupt stop and panted heavily. He tried forcing himself through the wall but he wasn't thin enough for that.
He watched as Ryan slowly made his way through the wall. "Hey!. Wait right there" He yelled. Ryan paused and turned to him. " I'm sorry sir. But I told you not to call the police " Ryan stated.
" don't worry, the police won't show up, just come back here and let's talk about this" The worker tried persuading him. "Sorry. I'm not Falling for that!" Ryan said and ran off.
"Stop!. Wait right there you little cunt!" The worker yelled in frustration. Ryan soon disappeared. The worker went around the block but couldn't spot Ryan anymore. He left for the supermarket in annoyance.
A policeman was at the Supermarket when he arrived back. "What took you so long. The thief got away!" He exclaimed. "We received the call Just five minutes ago. I'll say we came early enough " The cop objected. "Whatever. He got away!" The worker exclaimed.
"Just calm down Noel. This isn't the first time we're dealing with something like this here at the supermarket. Let's get a footage of the boy as that would help us find him easily " The cop stated.
Noel nodded and led Him to the back room where Ryan's face was collected. "He said he was going to pay when he finds his father. Do you think he's lost?" Noel asked as the cop left. "Maybe he is or not, we'll figure that out soon. If by chance he comes here again, do not scare him off and gently calm him till we arrive " The cop stated.
The cop left the supermarket and Noel resumed his work.
*Somewhere in the city*
Ryan was still roaming around the city. He was not asking people around for his father this time as he thought someone might be looking for him, he had to avoid everyone.
He soon stumbled upon a mansion with armed guards in front of it. Ryan stared at the house closely. "Have I been here before " He mumbled. "Why are you standing there little skunk" one of the guards asked him.
"Nothing, I was just passing by " Ryan replied meekly. "Why are you walking around alone. Are you lost?" The other guard asked. Ryan was about to answer but halted when a car horn was heard. The gate opened suddenly and two cars drove out. Ryan stared at the cars as they drove off. He turned and left the vicinity in a hurry.
*Mr Jacob's pov*
"Why does that boy look quite familiar " Jacob asked his personal guard, Neon. "I do not think I've seen him anywhere sir" He replied.
"His face tells me otherwise.." Jacob insisted. "Perhaps he was one of the kids that attended the birthday party?" Neon suggested.
"Maybe you're right. He sure does look like one of them at the party" Jacob said rest assured. "Without a doubt sir. He's just one of them" Neon added. The journey continued afterwards.
Night was finally emerging and Ryan still hasn't found his father. He noticed night was coming and was beginning to worry. "I might not find Dad this night. Where do I sleep. I can't make it back home to the room on time" He mumbled to himself.
He took a new route and walked down a silent street. "Hey there boy" A voice suddenly said from one of the buildings. Ryan stared around in fear. He wasn't certain where the voice came from but was sure things could get ugly for him at any moment.
He turned back to make a run for it but yelled in fear when he saw three men holding sticks standing in front of him. "Hi there little one" one of the men said and chuckled.
