3D-Man lay on the ground in his own blood as it spewed out like a stream of water. His breathing was heavy as he held his wound with his hand, hoping it would help, even though deep down he knew his life was over and that this was the end.
Muttering under his breath "It'll be fine!" repeatedly as his tears collapsed to the ground, vanishing amongst the blood. His hand could feel his organs peeking out from his body as he tried to gently push them back into place, wincing in pain.
Peter quickly rushed to 3D-Man's side, placing his head on his lap as he desperately tried to stop the bleeding with his webs. "You'll make it through this alright; don't you dare give up!" he demanded.
"It's too late for me," replied 3D-Man, stumbling over his words in realisation as it hit him that his life was truly over.
"Don't you dare say that! You have a family, right? Survive for them!" replied Peter, applying pressure to the wound and a tear dripping down his mask.
3D-Man reached for a small pocket in his suit, pulling out a photo that he held in his bloody and shaking hand to his face, smiling.
"We never exchanged real names, did we? Now you won't need to worry about me exposing your identity," chuckled 3D-Man.
"Peter. Peter Parker!" replied Peter.
"Adrian Hull. Remember it for me," replied Adrian. "Peter Parker, huh, now that's a comic book hero if I ever heard one," he added, chuckling again.
"We still have to get some Chinese, remember?" said Peter, trying to give Adrian hope.
"It's alright, Peter; everyone dies someday. Just so happens that today is my turn," replied Adrian, placing the photo on his heart.
Vulcan stared at them with irritation as he listened. "Why couldn't you just stand aside?" said Vulcan, looking away, leaving the two of them alone.
Peter glared at Vulcan with rage.
Adrian gripped Peter's wrist. "Listen to me, Peter, and my final requests. I know you feel anger and a boiling rage, but don't let it blind you. Spare Vulcan. I've seen and experienced what's been done to him since he was a child; it's something you couldn't even imagine. Everyone turned him away, and he truly believes this was his last option. Show him the light, not the darkness he's become so adjusted to," asked 3D-Man, a serious look in his eyes. "Prove to him that we aren't the monsters he believes we are," he added.
Peter listened intently, nodding in response, calming down a little.
"One last thing," said 3D-Man, handing the photo to Peter, "Tell them I love them and that I died a hero." Adrian started to cry.
Peter took off his mask. "I will!" he vowed, holding Adrian's hand tightly as he started to die.
"A dam kid is a better hero than me; what a world!" said Adrian, giggling before his eyes turned lifeless, his arm now being held up by Peter.
Peter started to cry as he looked to the sky, angry at Vulcan and angry at himself. If only I was better, If only I was stronger was all he could think about. "FUCK!" he yelled, punching the ground, making a small hole. "God, dammit," he muttered.
"Sir!" yelled a voice through Vulcan's earpiece.
"What?" replied Vulcan quickly.
"It would seem my location has been exposed; they managed to find out where the hacking signal came from. I didn't expect to find it so quickly. I'll have to go on the run and make sure they don't destroy the signal. I wish you luck, Vulcan," replied the man.
"You too, make sure you survive. Alright?" replied Vulcan.
"I'll try my best," said the voice before turning to static.
Peter rose up, his fists clenched, as he saw the corpse of his laying on the ground before glaring at Vulcan as he put his mask back on.
Vulcan grabbed his earpiece, crushing it in his hand as it fell to the ground before turning around and meeting Peter's gaze.
"I don't think he would have wanted you to die just like he did. Are you sure this is what you want?" asked Vulcan.
"Shut up! You have no right to talk about him," replied Peter.
"So be it," replied Vulcan, his eyes glowing.
Peter charged towards Vulcan as two rays of energy rushed towards him. Peter changed his direction, running to Vulcan's side as the beams followed him. Before they reached him, he used his web to zip him to what remained of the building wall, running across it.
Vulcan stopped his eye rays before holding up his arm and firing a short burst from his hand as Peter jumped over it, ripping off the doors of a car with his web.
Peter threw one towards Vulcan, who swung it away; as another car door started to fall towards him, he swung it away as well.
Vulcan prepared to punch away Peter, but as the car doors flew towards the ground, no one was in sight.
As Peter landed, he quickly turned his feet towards Vulcan, grabbing the car door he held on his back, holding it in one hand, and dashing towards Vulcan. Peter swung downwards with the car door, as Vulcan quickly faced Peter, punching a hole through the door and grabbing it from the other side.
Vulcan yanked it from Peter, throwing it behind and using his other hand to fire a beam of energy. Peter started to fall on his back as the beam passed right over him, and he used his foot to kick the beam towards the side buildings.
Peter used his hand to flip himself over onto his feet before dashing again towards Vulcan and landing an uppercut. Vulcan threw a hook, which Peter dodged to the side before hitting Vulcan's side as he retaliated by throwing his elbow into Peter's face.
Peter stepped back a few steps before punching Vulcan in the face. Vulcan through his next punch, and instead of listening to his senses, Peter took it head-on and continued to throw punch after punch, now brawling with Vulcan. His anger dulled the pain as his knuckles became sore, Vulcan's body became bruised, and his nose bloodied.
Peter's nose dribbled blood as his face became unrecognisable.
Vulcan roared as he grabbed Peter and swung around before launching him through the opposite building. As Peter popped out from the other side, he webbed the sides of the hole he had created and slung himself through it back at Vulcan.
He punched Vulcan across the face, finally making him groan in pain as Vulcan punched upwards right at Peter's ribs at the same time, making him fall to the ground.
Vulcan took a few steps back, wiping blood from a cut he had on his mouth, before it disappeared like it was never there.
"Take your friend's last words to the grave alongside you!" said Vulcan as his eyes glowed orange.
Peter could just look upwards as he tried to get back up, failing. This was it.
