Chapter 6 - Chapter 5: Expirementation (part 3)

I opened my eyes again, The lab was a blur of activity as I came to. My head was spinning, my thoughts a jumbled mess. The memory of the first experiment was still fresh in my mind, a nightmarish ordeal that had left me shaken to my core.

And yet, here I was again, strapped to a cold metal table, my heart pounding in my chest. I struggled against my restraints, but it was no use. I was at their mercy, and they seemed to have none.

"Subject 000 ready for phase two," one of the scientists said, their voice devoid of emotion.

I felt a prick on my arm, and a cold sensation spread through my veins. The room started to spin, and the world around me faded into darkness.

When I came to, I was surrounded by monitors and equipment, the hum of machinery filling the air. The scientists were talking amongst themselves, their voices distant and muffled.

"We're seeing some promising results," one of them said. "Subject 000 has shown a remarkable positive reaction to the serum."

"Keep monitoring their vitals," another replied. "We need to make sure we're not pushing him too far."

I struggled to make sense of their words, my mind still reeling from the effects of the experiment. But one thing was clear – I was just a pawn in their game, a test subject to be prodded and probed for their own twisted purposes. And as long as they held the power, there was nothing I could do but endure.

As the scientists continued to converse, my mind began to clear. I knew I had to escape, to find a way out of this nightmare before they could subject me to any more experiments.

I struggled against my restraints, but they held firm. I tried to call out, to demand answers, but my words came out as nothing more than a hoarse whisper.

Suddenly, one of the scientists turned to me, their gaze piercing. "Subject 000," they said, "you've shown exceptional resilience to our tests. But there's one more experiment we need to perform."

I felt a chill run down my spine as they approached, a new syringe in hand. I knew what was coming next – more pain, more suffering, more tests.

But as they injected the serum into my arm, something unexpected happened. Instead of feeling the usual wave of nausea and disorientation, I felt a surge of strength. It was as if the serum had awoken something dormant inside me, a power I never knew I had.

With a burst of adrenaline, I broke free from my restraints and lunged at the scientist, my hands wrapping around their throat. But before I could even snap his neck my vision darkened again.

As my conscience slowly darkened, I heard one of them say, "The fact that he managed to break the metal X with just the phase 1 syrum I suppose it was successful and plus it's not even 100% it only exerted a whopping 2% power! Good work let's proceed for the experiment next time"

Just like that my vision darkened.
