Chapter 15 - CELINE!!

Nathan was expecting the guy's face to look somehow scary but it was different. A muscular body and an innocent face.

"Hey bro, my name is Declan," the boy said.

"What do you want?" Nathan asked immediately.

Declan was taken aback for a second but he quickly replied.

"Uhm… I was wondering if you could help me," Declan said.

"I haven't seen the teacher correct you on anything so I'm sure you know much about the observation of skills," he added.

Nathan thought about it for some seconds.

"It won't hurt to give him some tips," he thought.

Moreover, Nathan found out from Siena the reason why some of them weren't making progress in their skill creation and observation.

"Huff…. Don't ask too many questions," Nathan said.

"Alright, thanks," Declan said while smiling.

Declan sat down in a lotus position with Nathan behind him.

"Use your skill," Nathan said.

Declan nodded his head and stretched his right arm forward.

Suddenly, his arm enlarged and brown fur started growing on it.

His fingers turned to sharp white claws that looked like it could cut through metal.

"A hit from that arm will definitely be deadly," Nathan thought.

"What's your ability," he asked.

"Partial shape shifting," Declan replied.

Nathan looked at the back of his uniform and saw two stars.

"This guy is strong," Nathan thought.

"The problem is the speed of activation," Nathan said.

"You're activating your skill faster than you can sense it."

"Activate it slowly. Sense the energy coming out and the way it wraps around your arm."

"After the skill has been activated, continue sensing the energy and see if you can reduce or increase the amount."

Nathan went back to his lotus position after telling him all these things.

Well, Siena was basically the one telling him.

Declan digested all the information he just received and immediately implemented it.

Nathan was already able to observe and understand his skill due to his level of concentration so he decided to continue his skill creation process.

The class ended with most of the students tired. It was hard but some of them were able to understand their skills.

After resting for some minutes, they all went to the weapon training room.

Weapons played a crucial role in battle so the different academies decided to teach the students how to properly wield weapons.

"As you all know, weapons are made from the bones and hearts of beasts and it can deal high damage to both beasts and rogue humans," Jagger said.

"I'll show you guys different stances to use for different weapons, and then we'll start training properly tomorrow." He added.

The class continued smoothly with Jagger picking different weapons and showing the students stances to use for them.

The students picked weapons from the rack, each one trying out the different stances to see which one felt most natural.

Nathan picked a short sword and tried the stances but he found out that the one Siena taught him was better.

"Okay, that'll be all for today. We'll go deeper in the training tomorrow," Jagger said.

"Tch, I need blood," Nathan thought.

He was feeling a pang in his stomach and he knew the cause.

"It's best for you to resist it, if you do that often you'll be able to control it," Siena said.

"Hey bro, thanks for the tips," Declan said while walking beside Nathan.

Nathan just nodded his head and walked to he dorm building leaving Declan dumbfounded.

He got to the top floor and started walking towards his room but a girl was standing directly in front of his door.

She was a girl with long blonde hair, wearing a black top and a short black skirt with leggings underneath.

She was wearing a white mask that covered her face and only her blue eyes were visible.

"Come with me," she said.

"Huh?! Who the hell are you?" Nathan asked in an annoyed tone.

"I don't want to use force, so just come with me quietly," she said.

"You've not answ-"

Before Nathan could complete the sentence, the girl appeared directly in front of him and that was the last thing he saw before he blacked out.

 ******************

Nathan's eyes opened slowly. Everything was still blurry but he managed to make out little details.

He was sitting on a chair and a table was in front of him.

Someone was also sitting on the chair at the other side of the table.

"Ugh….. where am I?" Nathan muttered.

After his eyes cleared, he saw a lady sitting on the chair at the other side of the table with crossed legs and a smile on her face.

She was immensely beautiful and could make any man drool in sight.

She had long blonde hair and blue eyes just like the girl he saw close to his room.

The girl was standing behind the lady with her mask still on her face.

"Wait…. Wait," Siena murmured.

From the way Siena spoke, Nathan knew there was a problem.

"It's good to see you, Siena," the lady said while still smiling.

"CELINE!!!" Siena screamed in rage.

"Wait… the same Celine that killed Siena's father?" Nathan thought.

He noticed that she called Siena directly and not him which made the situation even more complex.

Their eyes met and Nathan could feel only one thing.

"Fear… he felt immense fear.

The way she looked at him made it hard to breathe. It was suffocating.

"I have to run… run," Nathan thought.

Nathan could still feel the rage seeping out of Siena.

In a swift motion, he stretched his hand towards Celine and sprung up from the chair at the same time.

Ten earth spikes appeared and rushed towards Celine who still had a smile on her face.

The girl with the mask suddenly appeared in front of Celine with a green aura around her hand.

She waved her hand and hit the earth spikes, changing their trajectory.

*BOOM*

The earth spikes clashed with the wall and caused cracks to appear on it.

Nathan had already reached the door as all this was happening.

He was fast but he didn't expect the girl to be faster.

She appeared in front of the door, blocking Nathan's exit.

Swiftly, she touched Nathan's head with her index finger.

He felt a sudden wave of dizziness and he staggered back and fell on the chair.

The smile never left Celine's face even for a second.

"Hehehe, now we can talk," Celine said.

"Don't move," she added.

It felt like an order to Nathan. He could feel that if he took a step it wasn't gonna end well for him.

"What the hell is she doing here," Nathan thought.
