Nathan sat down on the bed ready to hear what Siena was about to say. He had been meaning to know about the person he saw in the sky.
"The person you saw in the sky, her name is Sara and she's the one behind the appearance of the rogue humans."
"I don't know how she came about but I know that she was once a cat," she explained.
"A cat?" Nathan was confused and he wanted to know more.
"Okay, I'll start from the beginning."
"There are lot of races that live in different realms and from time to time battles ensue between some of them. Each race has a unique power that no other race has."
"When I was still a little girl, Celine, the queen of the elves came to the vampire realm."
"According to her, she mistakenly got teleported while practicing her space element," she explained.
"The word element was new to us but she explained it to my father, the king."
Nathan was listening attentively because he knew that the person he saw in the sky was the cause of the change on earth.
"Celine stayed in the vampire realm for some time and even started teaching me the elemental manipulation ability in return for our generosity towards her but she didn't tell where she got it from."
"I was able to master the in and out of the ability and she also mastered the space element and was ready to go back to her realm."
"The day she planned to leave, I went to tell my father about my progress with the ability but I saw him lying on the floor in a pool of blood. His heart was stabbed and Celine was holding the sword."
Siena's voice was filled with rage to the point that Nathan could feel it. He knew that all these things would lead to the person in the sky.
"Immediately I saw her, she smiled before disappearing."
"We'll meet again very soon."
"Those were the words she told me before she disappeared."
"Days later while I was still grieving my father, i saw someone in the sky coming down towards me."
She had long white hair and strange white eyes.
Without warning, she attacked me but I was able to defend myself with my vampiric powers and the ability."
"Wait.....so that person also came to the vampire realm?" Nathan asked
"Yes and it wasn't only the vampire realm. She also went to the dragon realm and the orc realm," she replied.
"The battle continued and I managed to stab her heart or rather her core but I could only stab half of it and it immediately released a blast of energy similar to the one that happened here."
"She was about to escape by teleporting but I was able to use the "vampiric eyes" skill to know about her before she teleported."
"I found out with the skill that her name was Sara and she was originally a cat that somehow evolved into a human due to an unknown reason. I also noticed that she was using a lot of abilities and she was not fighting with her full strength. It was as if she just finished fighting somewhere before coming," Siena explained.
"The animals we relied on for blood became beasts and started attacking us but the vampires already had different abilities because of the energy blast so it was easy. Vampires didn't go missing so there was nothing like rouge vampires but the beasts were still a source of blood for the vampires."
"That's how I became queen of the vampire realm before my generals betrayed me," Siena concluded.
Nathan couldn't help but feel pity for Siena. She has been through a lot. The death of her father and the betrayal.
"So the human realm is the only place that people went missing and came back as rogues?"
"Yes, there must be a reason for it. I'm sure there's something in the human realm that she's attracted to."
"It seems there is someone behind the scenes that is causing all this," he said.
"That person is unknown now but slowly everything will fall in place."
Nathan looked at the bed, he didn't feel sleepy as a vampire but rest was required sometimes.
"I want to teach you something. It will help you greatly," Siena said
Nathan's curiosity piqued. As far as it would help him get stronger he was ready to learn it.
"It's not a skill I put in the system so you will have to learn it manually. It's called "vampiric senses" and it will help you further enhance your already enhanced senses."
"With this I'll be able to sense things even better and it will be useful in battle," he reasoned.
Following Siena's instruction, he sat down in a lotus position.
"Now take a deep breath and focus on it. Feel your blood energy coming out with every breath you take."
Nathan followed Siena's instruction. It was hard at first but after some time he was able to sense two energies inside him. One was red and the other was like the color of the rainbow. The rainbow colored one covered the red one. That was why the sun didn't affect him.
He tried to control the blood energy but failed to.
"You're rushing it. Take it little by little and focus only in it then imagine it slowly coming out," Siena explained.
After a few attempt, he was able to control it and he started moving it round his body slowly.
"Now move it towards your head and try to maintain it there."
Nathan successfully controlled it to his head and maintained it.
His eyes opened instantly and for a moment his eyes flashed red before going back to normal.
Nathan was shocked with the result. He could hear the rustling of the leaves of a tree in the distance.
He looked outside his window and saw the tree that was a pretty long distance away and he could also smell the flowers near it.
And the good thing about it was that it didn't consume blood energy so Nathan could always keep it activated.
"Thanks for teaching me this skill," he said.
"Yo….. You're welcome," she replied.
She didn't expect Nathan to thank her because he was always cold. So it came as a shock to her.
It was already evening and Nathan just decided to take a walk around the academy. He went to the library and read books about the rouge humans.
He saw the pictures and the most noticable thing about them was the tattoo on their bodies.
Every other book there contained what Siena had already told him. The night was already approaching. He started walking back to his room because one of the rules of the academy was that there should be no one outside from 7:30pm.
Nathan laid down on the bed. It was a long day and he felt the need to rest. He closed his eyes while still silently promising himself to find his family.
