The nightmares in this case were the Rogue Humans. It was even an understatement to call them nightmares, because some people still remembered the hellish things that they went through in the hands of the Rogue Humans.
If not for the fact that Abilities started appearing, no one knew what would have happened to humanity by now.
Some people even despised the Rogue Humans so much, to the point that they had forgotten that the Rogue Humans were once normal humans.
Even till now, no one knew what caused the change to occur, but all they knew now was that they had to survive against these Rogue Humans no matter what.
