Floating in a space, a void filled with stars, was a black haired boy. He was handsome, with an even face and blue eyes. Unfortunately those eyes were closed and he was adrift like a stick in a nebula filled abyss.
The surrounding was surreal, covered and layered with bright stars, cosmic dust and...a smell of vanilla?
Milo's eyes opened up and he stopped his drifting, looking around himself as he slowly descended and touched a flat surface. Beneath him was an invisible platform and the starry void could be seen beyond.
" Where am I? " He asked and the sound seemed to ripple across the place.
The stars gleamed and stared at the human before them, as if sentient beings were observing an ant that had walked into their backyard. There was no sound or sign of an end to the abyss of nebulae.
Milo took a step forward and then another. From the spot he had been, a small red flame ignited. It's crimson like light flickered unnaturally with the void, as if a snake had followed the ant.
" Hello, sweet thing." The flame said and Milo turned to it.
" What-what are you? " Despite common sense, Milo didn't feel afraid. He didn't understand why.
" I am, " the red fire slithered away and swirled into a big flame, growing bigger and bigger until Milo had to step back from its heat. It was so bright he had to shut his eyes , but just when it looked like the fire would consume him, the stars shined brighter , as if in warning.
The flame then combusted into a thousand tiny sparks and what was left was a beautiful woman with black hair and red eyes. Horns, bat like wings and a devil tail made it clear she was a demon but that somehow added to her appeal.
" Devi." The demoness said looking at the black haired boy.
" You...are a - "
" A demon!? Yes, how very observant of you," she said with a sarcastic smile, " I know who you are ; Milo Saki , film student to be and...Ryo's boyfriend."
Milo narrowed his eyes at her, he did not like the way she said his boyfriend's name. It was like a snarl and threat at the same time and Milo for the first time since he'd been, wherever he was, felt wary.
" What do you want? Where am I? " He asked her and she chuckled, it was soft like the caress of a fluffy pillow.
" You...are in the Inbetween." She said and her tail curled , " Between life and death, although I'd prefer you closer to the later. Speaking of, I believe it's time I get started."
With a snap of her fingers, a red aura flew around them and ensnared Milo. His body froze from the neck down and he couldn't move, much to his horror.
Slowly,like a panther with its prey, Devi stalked towards Milo and her left hand turned into sharp claws. They were razor like talons, red like they had been dipped in blood. Her eyes were even worse, the red irises burning and her pupils turning black. A sadistic and blood thirsty smirk soon adorned her succulent red lips.
" Do you know how often I have dreamed of just," Devi stroked Milo's chin with one talon, drawing a red line with a single drop of blood," slitting the both of you, especially Ryo. That darn little...pest owes me his soul!"
" What are you talking about?" Milo asked tentatively and Devi gave a sigh, before retracting her hand and looking to the starry expanse before them.
" I wish I could end you here but then I'd have to deal with all of THEM!" a bright red aura flowed around her and the stars seemed to shine brighter aswell.
" What did I ever do to you? Or Ryo? " Milo asked her and her aura turned from a flowing breeze to a swirl of a devil wind.
" What did you do? I am the joke of all demons because of your lover, made me an incompetent fool who could not trick a child!" Her eyes turned pure red and for a moment Milo thought she was going to kill him.
" Oh? I see you're scared now. You think I'll kill you, boy!?" She spat out the word in a voice layered with disgust.
" Please don't hurt Ryo." Milo said softly and Devi gave a deep sigh.
" You care about him so much...I hate it. I hate you both. I hate your smiles, your joy and I HATE YOUR LOVE! " She shouted and her aura flew up like a whip around them , but just as it started, it stopped.
" But that's why I'm here " she said softly and she placed her flawless hand on Milo's chest, looking deep into his eyes." I'm going to take away...all of it."
Her red lips opened up and she blew onto Milo's face. A rosy red mist entered his nose and pores, enveloping the teenager. Soon his mind became drowsy and his senses muddled, making him pass out. Unknown to him, his body soon started to fade away afterwards.
In mist of red, Milo faded away and disappeared in the expanse of stars. A devilish grin was on Devi's lips after he was gone.
" No! "
" Huh? " Devi turned around with a glare, no one was supposed to be in that dimension with them.
Infront of her was a tall girl with black hair and blue highlights, her eyes were a golden yellow and she wore a white crop top with a white skirt. The outfit showed her alluring legs and her hair, tied in pigtails, gave a cute attractiveness that was to die for.
" Oh it's you." Devi said with a intimidating smile.
" Devi what did you do? " The girl asked the demoness,her voice rang out like the singing of a nightingale.
" Oh, who? Me?" She answered with a hearty laugh that would make most men go on their knees.
" I just did a small thing really, " She walked backwards , until she reached the edge of the invisible platform.
" What did you do? " The girl asked again and her eyes glowed bright like a star.
" I took all their smiles, all their joy and ALL OF THEIR LOVE." Devi said as her body began to fade away into red sparks.
" Don't you know what that will mean? " The girl said as she rushed for the demoness but it was too late.
" It means; no more love...only hate! "Those were Devi's last words as she faded away into the midnight like void.
" No. " The girl whispered as she looked where the boy had disappeared.

Milo opened his eyes slowly, his mind feeling slow from slumber. Eventually he got up on his elbow and looked at the person next to him. They were in a white and cream room and sharing a bed in the corner, next to the window.
The guy next to him was a person with dark brown hair and a handsome face, snoring slightly. It made Milo smile and he couldn't help but move close and nuzzle their noses together. Unfortunately that woke other person up.
" What are you doing? " The guy said holding his head so Milo could not escape.
" Nothing, nothing, let me go." The black haired boy whined but the boy with brown hair shook his head.
" You were taking advantage of me. Say the magic words if you want to be freed." He said.
" Okay, okay, okay. Please let me go my bestest boyfriend in the whole world." Milo said the words and the brown haired boy chuckled and kissed him quickly.
Milo blushed and licked his lips, that was an action the brown haired guy found attractive.
" Who's your love ? " He asked Milo.
" Katsuda , you are . " Milo said , " Whose your lover ? "
" Milo, that's who." Katsuda answered and hugged him tight.
" I love you Milo and no one else." He said softly.
" I love you Katsuda and only you." Milo said with a bright and happy smile.
