Pov: Point of View
**: Expression of emotions or actions
Our story takes place in New York City, inside the Inazuma's family Dojo. We see a boy in his mid-teens practicing his Kata's and his footwork. It was the middle of the night, so no one was around to disturb his training, something that he was very grateful for. He had long white hair that reached his neck; and golden eyes, but what made him stand out was his skin color, which was a caramel color.
(MC)Minato Pov
Hello everyone, my name is Inazuma Minato. I'm seventeen years old, born in raised in Brooklyn, New York. My life is pretty ordinary, and I like it that way. I live with my mom, but my dad on the other hand, died when I was still a baby. Mom doesn't like talking about him, apparently before he died the two had a big argument about something.
Wiping the sweat off my face, I decided to take a quick break. Feeling parched, I went to the table to pick up my water bottle before chugging it down. Now satisfied, I begin to continue my Katas. Well, that's what I was planning on doing.
*Ring* *Ring* Ring*
Looking over at my phone I decided to check who was texting me. Seeing who it was, a scowl appeared on my face.
From: Summer Turner
Hey... it's me again. I wanted to apologize to you for the other day. Bryson just came over and things... just happened... I'm sorry! Please give me another chance Minato, I love you and only you! What happened the other day was a terrible mistake and it won't ever happen again... Can we meet up somewhere, to at least talk about it?
Closing my eyes; doubting if I should meet up with her, I reluctantly decided to do so. Dialing her number, I waited for her to pick up. Answering the phone with joy in her voice, Summer begins to greet me.
"Minato... So I'm guessing you saw my message," asked Summer. Rubbing my temples with slight irritation, I began to answer my cheating girlfriend's question.
"Yes Summer, Isn't it obvious?! Why would I be calling you if I didn't want to talk with you," I answered back. I can tell by her voice, that she is hoping that we will get back together. Unfortunately for her, that wasn't on my mind... But the complete opposite.
"Oh, right! Anyway, where should we meet up!?" Asked an embarrassed Summer. Pausing for a moment, I decided to take her to the place where we first met.
"Meet me by the small cafe by my grandfather's Dojo," I answered. How ironic, the place where we first met, will be the place where our relationship will end.
"How romantic! That was the first place where we met... You know, that café holds a very special place in my heart. It's where I met you Minato, my true and only love~, expressed Summer with love in her voice. I wanted to believe those words, I truly did. But she and my only friend since childhood, having sex together !? I can't forgive that, I can't forgive them.
"Please just meet me there," I said before quickly hanging up the phone.
End of Pov
On the other end of the Line, we see a girl with long blond hair and purple eyes, she was giggling to herself. She was happy that her beloved was speaking to her again. Making sure she was desirable for Minato, the delusional girl started to groom herself to be more presentable for her supposed date.
Unnamed Cafe
Minato Pov
I have been sitting here for thirty minutes, still waiting for Summer to show up. Not having dinner yet, due to me practicing all evening, I decided to buy something from the cafe. In front of me was a huge Angus steak, with a large size of fries, and for dessert some cinnamon bread pudding. Quietly eating my food and waiting for Summer to show up, I felt my phone ringing in my pocket. Checking to see who it was, Kinda already having a guess who was texting me, I took out my phone. Frowning at seeing who it was, the contactor was Bryson.
Bryson was my first and only true friend...well, we used to be friends. Everyone else in our small group were more like associates than actual friends. Well for me at least. The real reason why they even talked to me was because of Bryson. Since we were little, it's like he always had this ability to befriend every person he met. Me on the other hand, didn't have that ability, but the exact opposite. When I was younger I struggled to make friends, due to my shy personality. This made me an easy target for the other kids to pick on, due to my meek demeanor. Yes, I know that was a long time ago, and the kids who used to tease me are now young adults, but it still somewhat hurts. But that all changed when I met Summer, I felt for the first time and my life, that someone who wasn't Bryson truly wanted a genuine relationship with me.
I guess she proved me wrong. Deciding to block his number; because I was also through with him. I want to start over again. And if I am destined to be alone, then so be it. At least I know that people around me were honest, instead of lying in stabbing me in the back. Crestfallen and just tired, I was interrupted by one of the waitresses.
"Excuse me sir, but a woman named Mrs. Turner is here to see you." Announced the waitress.
Please let her through, I said while sighing. Well, this was it. Today was the day I would end our relationship for good. Walking at the table seductively was my ex-girlfriend, she was wearing a black tight dress, that revealed all her curves in the right places. She let her long blond hair down and finished it off she wore some red lipstick. I know what she wanted to do, but it won't work on me... Her betrayal broke me. And there was nothing she could do to fix it, so why does she even try???
Sitting now across from me was Miki. She seemed giddy, but for what? Walking up to her was the same waitress who took my meal.
"Hi, how may I take your order?!" Asked the waitress professionally. Summer put a finger on her chin; before immediately placing her order.
"I would like a strawberry shortcake and a white mocha latte please!" Ordered my giddy ex-girlfriend. The waiter and Summer both looked at me. The waitress smiled at me, waiting for me to hand her over something. Narrowing my eyes, I decided to ask what was wrong.
"Um, yes?" asked Calmly. Summer began to frown; before essentially answering my question.
"Aren't you going to pay for my food???" Asked Summer. She can't be serious? Does she think I have any obligations to pay for her food? I'm not even her boyfriend... And this wasn't even a date. At first, I was about to lie, explaining to her that I didn't have any money, but I realized that I needed to be harsh; making sure the nail hit its mark, she needed to know that we were over, and it nothing she can do to fix it.
"No," I said before putting another piece of steak in my mouth. This surprised Summer and the waitress.
"But I thought-"
My glare pierced through her heart like a dagger. Holding back the tears, the hurt, I resolve myself to keep pushing forward with my speech.
" Listen, Summer... I didn't come here to mend our relationship back together; actually, I think it would be best if we didn't even see each other anymore, I announced calmly.
Summer had denial written all over her face. Tears began to form, and eventually roll down her cheeks... What surprised me the most was that she still had a giddy smile on her face, I didn't know how to feel, should I pity the blond, or should I be extremely worried? Unfortunately, later I found out that it was most definitely out of fear. Resolving myself, I continued to speak.
"Also, I'm leaving for Japan tomorrow. My grandfather and mother decided that it was best for the family to be together again. So even if this event didn't happen, it wouldn't have worked out for us ... Anyway, goodbye... Summer," I said stoically. Getting up out of my chair, I left the money for my food, and a tip for the waitress. Moving back to Japan was obviously a lie, like I said before, the smile on Summer's face was disturbing... And that worried me deeply.
Rather than going home, I decided to head back to the Dojo to spend the night, it was late and usual at this time it was dangerous to be on the streets.
Deciding to take a shortcut through the alleyway. I began to hear footsteps, turning behind me I began to search to see if anyone was there; and to my relief, it was no one. Focusing on my way home, I didn't notice a small shadow of a woman slowly following me.
Entering the dojo, I Let out aloud sigh. Today was a very stressful and emotional day for me, but I felt a burden lifted off of me. I can finally move on, and leave the past behind me. But not everyone shared that same Idea with me, and some will even say I handled the situation poorly.
About to head to the shower, I heard someone knocking on the glass window of the dojo. Deciding to check who it was, I found out it was none other than Summer.
Frowning, I asked the blond why she was there.
"Summer?? What are you doing here?" I asked hesitantly. The girl was silent, she just stood there, like she was waiting for me to invite her in. Her bangs covered the majority of her face, making it hard to see her expression. It begins to rain. She just stood there, not even caring that her clothes were getting soaked.
Taking a deep breath, I opened the door to let her in. I couldn't send her home at one in the morning, especially not in a heavy storm like this one. Closing my eyes, I begin to unlock the door; while gestureing Summer to come in.
"Come on... I can't let you go home by yourself-"
I couldn't finish my sentence; because I felt a sharp pain in my stomach. Looking down, I was impaled by a giant Kitchen knife. And seeing who stabbed me, it was none other than Summer.
Backing up, while coughing up some blood, I looked directly at Summer, only able to mutter a single word.
"Why?" I simply asked. Lifting her head up; we see Summer crying while having a sadistic smile on her face.
"Minato do you think I wanted this? Well, I didn't!! You made me this way Minato! We could have had a happy life together, and a family, but you decide to throw it all away because I cheated on you once?!" Exclaimed the delusional blond.
"You're crazy... And you're a heartless bitch, you know that," I said while coughing up some blood. Summer didn't like my response.
"What....!!!!!" Exclaimed Summer.
You heard me, bitch!" I said mockingly. The delusional blond roared before tackling me to the ground with Knife in hand. She started to stab me repeatedly. I was too tired to fight back. Feeling my flesh constantly getting impaled by the kitchen knife, all I could do was scream out a silent plea. She kept stabbing, Stabbing, Stabbing, Stabbing, and STABBING me over, and over again. My eyes became blurry, then eventually my heart stopped beating. That was the day I died........
Well, that's what I thought at least.
