As I was about to enter the reception area with mother usually sitting at her throne and mine beside her, I saw a beautiful and innocent girl looking at me for the first time but as if she knew me before. I looked at her eyes and hers talked to me like she is telling me that it'll be okay. I pulled my eyes and looked away. I saw her shocked and pierced her eyes on the ground like she was hurt in a way.
I wanted to speak but I was so hurt about Elina's decision to break up with me, so I stayed low and nodded my head as the princess and her companions smiled at me in my mother's presence. While eating at the dining table, I excused myself and Princess Yuna's gaze followed me until I was gone out of the dining hall.
I walked out of the palace and when I reached the gardens, I felt a hand reached out for my shoulder.
Hey, Princess, what's wrong?
Oh, it's you, ah….
Princess Yuna, call me Yuna!
Okay, Yuna, ah I'm sorry I don't feel like talking, so if it's okay, I want to be left alone. Thank you!
It's okay, I don't talk much either. If it's okay with you, I will just sit here to accompany you!, Yuna added and sat across me in one of the stone benches at the gardens surrounded by beautiful and colorful flowers which Meraek ordered from Greece and planted along with the maids in the palace.
Meraek and mother are dancing with our traditional Egyptian melody while the visitors whom are the queen and grandmother of Yuna listened and had fun swaying with while watching them dance along with the other visitors in in the dance hall.
Silence filled the palace gardens which mother called Paradizo. I wandered what it meant but as I researched it, it means paradise or heaven and I love the place not to mention the flowers Meraek planted here. The flowers in bloom are so colorful. Seeing, smelling and touching them close is like feeling the rainbow in my hands, which makes me want, to walk over on until I see the pot of gold at the end of it. Mother always tells me about rainbows and magical lands in her stories. Paradizo is definitely magic to me and Yuna thinks it too. I looked at the princess and see she is amazed by the gardens and smiles once in a while every time she touches the tiny buds at her side.
We don't have these beauties in the Swiss Alps, so I envy you!, Princess Yuna breaking the ice between us. She sat herself on the Bermuda grass while appreciating the place I love the most in the palace.
Well, if you envy me, I envy you for traveling across the world to explore and meet with me and my country. I have never travelled before and as future queen and ruler of Egypt, that is what I would want to do after my coronation. I love exploring places and meeting with different types of people, culture and eat their delicacies…ahhhh!!!
Your highness…..ah
Jaur, call me Jaur, Yuna, right!
Yes, thanks. Jaur….it is nice to travel but it is also risky, so it's better to appreciate your own place like this garden. What do you call this place, now?
Paradizo, mother loves it so much it is like her own heaven in the world. Meraek built it and they both spent their dates here, so it became a love nest for most of our staff and guards here. It is open for those who want to find their peace and alone time aside from the many beautiful sights and sceneries we have in Thebes, Cairo or River Nile, etc..
Yes, I love this place already and it's nice that I get to talk with you, too! What happened back there?, Yuna asked politely. But if you don't want to talk about it, it's okay with me. Besides we just met and I'm just a visitor here!
It's okay, thank you. I just broke up with my partner and she hates me now since I can't bring here to my coronation day. It is a custom that I can only bring a royal to present to the people that I am their new leader. Though I am a girl, usually men are voted or chosen to become pharaoh. But since I am the rightful heir to the throne, mother insisted that I take the position since in her opinion I can already rule Egypt now that I have grown and at the perfect age to take on her position as Queen of the land.
I congratulate you for being chosen as the leader of Egypt. I too am the princess of Swiss and Meditteranea which will soon make an alliance with your kingdom. Both our countries need each other and meeting you now, is a relief, because I thought I will be greeted by a cold and spoiled royal. It turns out that you are quite the opposite and it's nice to meet you, Jaur! And sorry for the break up! I hope you'll be able to find your true love and wish it'll be soon!
Thank you Yuna! I am glad I met you and didn't know that Swiss princesses are that nice! Haha!
Aha….I am nice but most of the time, annoying as hell! Hahahah….Yuna said and then laughed while still seated on the grassy ground relaxed.
Hahahaha….yes I think so too!, I replied with a laugh looking at the princess and then moved my gaze towards the orangey sun setting itself down the clear and blue Nile.
Hmmm…..I love this place! I think I will enjoy staying here with you!, Yuna cried while looking at the sunset.
I think I will too!, I added while staring at the prettiest girl I have ever seen in my entire life.
Rumor has it that Yuna is a beautiful angel. And all through-out Europe they say that the Meditteranean princess is fabulous, and they are telling the truth, Yuna is very beautiful! She is beautiful inside out. I already miss Elina and it is painful to think of her leaving me to sulk alone. I thank the gods for Yuna and I hope and pray that she will be able to fill out the hallow place Elina created inside my heart when she broke up with me today. It's been two years since I met Elina and at my 18th birthday, it is the first time I will be celebrating it without her. So sad.
