New Mission:Revenge and Reduct.
Picking an opponent your own size was harder than was said.
Chima had walked for long looking for an opponent tailor fit for her.
Trying to fight someone or some monster stronger than her was foolhardy and even though she was ready to test her awesome weapons, the Spidolf had taught her well.
And although fighting someone below her powers was a likelier alternative, she was too dignified to try that options, so while thinking and keeping away from moving life, she heard a loud thud!
Ahead of her.
'Creeeeeaaaak...THUD!!' The sound of falling trees.
Chima was startled and looked around.
It was a Mion, whom was falling and tramping on the plants and shrubs around.
A cross between a mouse and a lion.
These were extra large 2nd level monsters with an i.q of -200(if monsters did have i.qs) whom were spiritually carnivores.
They took upon themselves the role of eliminating all green growing living things.
Although literally 2nd to the last on the food chain, were very arrogant.
For Chima to have met this kind of animal, was an honest miracle.
She tried to call the beast.
"Hey! Dumbo!!"
The monster kept falling trees and destroying plants, without giving any attention to her calls.
"DUMBO!!" Still no answer.
It wasn't until she took great creativity and pains to dress up as a moving plant to disturb it that it finally looked at her with its bloodshot eyes and proceeded to gore her.
Chima watched it running towards her then smiled, she'd use this to re compensate herself.
Chima detached the sword from the crook of its neck and looked at the Mion's cut filled body.
There were large cuts on it's body because Chima wanted to make sure it was really dead.
Honestly she was shocked and rudely disappointed, this monster was supposed to help her get more experience and skills but it was useless and to think it was also elemental.
That was the only reason why it was a hassle for her to conquer.
Before she began to harvest the crystal, she looked around with enhanced eyes to see if there were any moving life around.
The coast was seemingly clear.
Chima proceeded to cutting the monster's chest but as soon as she brought the crystal out, a dagger from no where flew towards her and off!
Went the whole of her left wrist.
The vandal as quick as lightening ran and first gave Chima a kick on her nose before making of with her fist.
Unfortunately that happened to be the one she was holding the crystal with.
What happened was shadowy and hazy and really Chima couldn't see clearly the figure that came towards her, so most likely they had a shadow ability.
Chima stood with her nose bleeding which stopped and healed very soon.
She didn't bother racing after the vandal but instantly opened her screen and at the top of it was a line showing where she had gone and a green dot showing where she was.
It was moving. Her track ring was worn on the finger on the left fist!
Chima watched it with a smile then touched a button with her left hand.
However with the red blotch on the screen, she suddenly became aware of the fact that she was half fist-less.
The red bloody flesh surrounding the white bone also stained with blood and the absence of her 'grabbing tool' would forever be burned into the fabrics of her head, brain and memory.
She shivered and looked longingly at the painful stump.
Then at the dagger which executed the job. Her screen beeped subtly and she whipped her head towards it. The dot had stopped moving.
Chima walked slowly towards the spot, she was nearly there now from the area where the dot stopped.
It hadn't moved an inch and as she got closer to it. The hope of her meeting the vandal, dealing with them and getting back what was stolen from her dwindled.
Where she was headed was an open space, a thief wouldn't stay in an open and bright space, right?
They stayed in the shadows and darkness.
And even if they had used their shadow abilities, she would have spotted an obvious distortion in the area as it was an open and bright space.
She found the hand in the middle of the field, excluding the crystal ofcourse.
She picked up the cold eerie feeling human tool from the ground as she squeezed it in anger.
She tried settling her anger, so as not to go against her plan.
The vandal was still in the area, she could smell it.
She just had to tread softly and when the time was right strike with all her anger at the vandal.
But her anger was like a heavy thunderstorm and like a violently spinning cyclone.
Loud beepings suddenly entered her ears startling her. She immediately opened her screen and saw a notification. Another mission.
She opened it and read:
_____________________________
Revenge and Reduct!
Another mission:
You have worked very hard to sow a seed but a vandal stole and reaped where you sowed. Twice! This makes you mad.
Mission: Find the vandal.
:Kill or deal with him until the anger in you is vanquished.
:Take back what was stolen from you.
Rewards: 4000 Experiences, +3% to every natural attributes.
-------------------------_---------
4000 experiences..... 1000 experiences would equal to a whole 10% and normally the exp distrubution in rewards would range from 50 - 100 exp and if lucky 150.
If the system was offering a whole 4000 experiences for this mission this mission, it meant that this mission wasn't so simple.
And the vandal wasn't so simple.
Chima's plans began to rearrange in her head. She'd wanted ofcourse to take revenge but if it took the form of a mission and a reward attached to it, all the more reason to destroy the vandal.
If the vandal had stolen even all of her belongings and left her high, dry and naked, she would still have made up an excuse to accout for their actions but this was the fruit of her hard and bloody labour and she hadn't even time to get used to it and it had taken away from her.
"Hold your anger, hold it! Anger is not good for your health, you are an airy butterfly, you are as light as a rainless cloud, you are as happy and not-angry as a country granny with her daughter..."
And the screen said him.....It was a he?
The happy and not-angry country granny was now lashing minute-granite sands at an already dead Frosquito.
The good thing about this kill was that it wasn't Chima who asked for it this time, it was the monster as the slime from its elongated tongue kept drvopping on Chima, it wanted Chima to stick to it so she couldn't move, then die in a few days and make a meal for it.
Frosquitos love dead meals and expired blood.
Chima heard sharp whistling from afar, and turned just in time for her to catch a black metal arrow with a blue trail right in front of her and the first thought that came her mind was Yondu from The Guardians of the Galaxy.j09
