Chapter 32 - Volume 2. Chapter 7 - The Dungeon.

The fight wasn't particularly interesting, the skeleton and I were just jumping from the slime attacks. He attacked with a sword because it has enough length to reach the core, and I, in turn, used ice darts. Still, I can't use my trump card in the form of poison on them if I want to make a potion because this way I'll just pollute the mucus, and nothing will change from water (ice).

After collecting the slime in the dishes, we continued on our way. Along the way, of course, we met goblins and skeletons. But goblins decorated everything with red after just one punch from me, and what about skeletons? We are also undead in a sense, they just didn't react to us.

After some wandering, we finally found a way down…

Stop! I forgot to buy a dungeon map.…

Who's doing well? I'm doing great!

Okay, if anything, let's go by memory…

After walking down the stairs, I didn't even realize where I was. The entire cave was covered with colorful mosses and gray-blue mushrooms more than four meters high. Although if you think about it, it's definitely not some kind of infection? Some of the giant mushrooms could even be identified, there's a fly agaric, there's a birch bark, there's a demon's paw, there's a drowned man's paw. Did they by any chance retain their properties in alchemy? Probably not, after all, then they would not have mined glowing mushrooms here, which grow like parasites from moss and other fungi, but would have sawed these big guys.

- Guard it.

The skeleton listened to the command and stood up in a stance.

If you think about it, he looks more like a hero from fairy tales than me, tall, wide and with a sword. Maybe I should throw the hero's job at him in the future?

Okay, while he's guarding, I have to pick mushrooms. The strange thing is that they grow in three pieces. Is this how it should be? I don't understand why this is so, but why would I want to know.

It became interesting to me… I passed some mana through the mushroom, and it began to glow brighter. They are used as light bulbs here. But most likely they will only last ten minutes. They're probably used for magic.…

In general, it's strange, my assistant and I are collecting mushrooms and conducting experiments here, but no one is going to meet us. It looks like someone has turned all the monsters on themselves. Well, thank you, probably, although it is quite possible that he does not need thanks any more. Okay, let's go for a walk, maybe we'll find a smart guy.

- Relax, let's go see what's going on around here.

The skeleton nodded and slung the sword over his shoulder, or would it be more tactful to call it a collarbone?

- So shoulder or collarbone…

It's a difficult question, so what am I talking about? It's definitely intelligence.

If you think logically, since there were no monsters in the place where I was, then people should be relatively nearby, maybe within a radius of two kilometers or less. In general, I'm not good at estimating the distance, but my intuition did not let me down.

After walking for a while, I heard loud sounds of a battle, or at least a drunken fight, depending on what to compare it with.

Once I got a little closer, I realized that these were my new acquaintances, they were standing in an open area and desperately fighting mushroom monsters, which all continue to advance. Well, what can you do from here it smells of blood and the sounds of battle are heard, of course everyone in the area will run here. There is a corpse in the distance, but I don't recognize how I could see it. The monsters there are very different: transformed zombies covered from head to toe with mushrooms, blue wolves decorated with speckles, gnolls who are surprisingly not leprous with local infection. Maybe they have some kind of truce when it's time to kill people?

Okay, I found out what I wanted, so let's continue collecting…
