Chapter 18 - Volume 1. Chapter 15 - A Scam? - Honest work!

Once in my room, I called my assistant and took the spatial bag from him.

- Stay here, guard the room from the inside.

Moving back to the guild, I moved everything I had with me for sale in two trips.

Even with the naked eye, it was clear that the receptionist was in some sense amazed or at a loss.

Usually, such quests as the ones I accepted are designed to clear the area of dangerous animals that can harm an ordinary person, well, or, for example, a trading caravan, no difference, in general. True, they usually bring as evidence the left ear, nose or tail of an animal, depending on the species, but why not show the whole corpse!

However, it's more likely because of my unwillingness to mess around with unnecessary cutting in the field.

- The quest is completed in the shortest possible time…

There was no response…

- What about the reward?

Girl: - Ah! And y-yes, here…

She handed me two bags of coins. And there's only one thing left to ask.

- Where's the cutting room?

She pointed her finger at the doors to our right. Taking the corpses into my bag, I took over a couple and abruptly headed for the door.

There were quite a few people at a long table, similar in some ways to a meat market.

I decided to approach a mustachioed man who was busy butchering some kind of creature.

- Are seats rented here or is there a queue order?

Mustachioed: - If you have the tools with you, take turns, choose an empty table for yourself and carve it up.

I unloaded the first two corpses and started butchering them.

As my watch said, it was nineteen o'clock now, and I went into the cutting room at about seventeen. Strictly speaking, I managed it quickly enough.

However, it feels like I took a bath of blood, stop, why is the blood on me pink?..

I hope this is a feature of wolves, otherwise it might be awkward…

Forget it!

Throwing the pieces of monsters that were suitable for sale, my feet carried me back to the reception desk.

Hello again!

I pulled out what I had on the reception desk and said a little proudly.

- The cost.

Girl: - Oh, well, uh-m

She darted her gaze from one part of the monster to the other, not knowing what to do.

Fortunately, another employee quickly came to her aid and told me the exact price in a few minutes.

Assistant: - are you selling everything?

- Yes…

She poked around under the counter and handed me a bag of coins.

I took the money, turned around and started to leave.

Assistant: - Goodbye!

I decided not to wave my hand like a strange one over the crowd of adventurers, but simply took out a knife, raised my hand slightly and waved it, clearly flashing with sunbeams. After all, a shiny object is more visible in a crowd.

It turns out that the knife is too versatile in this world!
