Milim has arrived at the Ice Continent and was already messing shit up, Rain and Mizery were immediately sent out to her but she said she had to meet Rimuru and knew he was here and was shouting for Guy to come out because she knew he heard her.
Eventually Velzard, Guy and Rimuru all came out.
"Bestie! Have they kidnapped you? Are you alright?!"
"Yes Milim I'm fi-"
"Wait, if Guy and Aunt Velzard are here, that means you're secretly planning something fun behind my back right?! I knew it, you three are secretly besties! Rimuru, you wound me with your betrayal!"
Guy and Velzard were just trying their best not to die laughing.
But Rimuru? Rimuru was not having any of it, he was extremely sad already and angry that he was forced to make such a decision, and now he had to deal with Milim.
Milim kept complaining while Guy and Velzard kept laughing at Rimuru's situation, no sympathy involved.
"I am sad Rimuru! I thought I was your bes-"
"SHUT UP ALREADY! YOU SAW ME BEING ANGRY AND WALKING OFF! AND YOU FOLLOWED ME!"
This line from Rimuru shut everyone up.
He saw them silent and kept going.
"You didn't have to make a decision did you? Because you don't care for the lives of humans, you've never been human! You've never known weakness have you, Milim, daughter of the god of creation himself! For the love of everything, leave me be for awhile, no, leave me until I tell you to come back, go mess around in Tempest! Go eat whatever you want! Just leave me alone for now!"
Milim was about to cry and she stormed off.
Velzard and Guy were quite shocked, they never thought his emotional distraught would reach this much.
"And you two, you find this funny, you're in the same boat as her, I know you are.
You only go along with me because of your gains, and I will only do so because of mine."
He walked towards the Ice Castle waiting for them.
"Wow... that was... harsh.. he went in that hard on her?
He is developing in character Velzard, just maybe not the way you want him to develop..."
"Yeah I can see, although I should be mad at him for lashing out at my dear niece and mentioning my older brother in such a way, but I can understand why he said such things in an outrage, he was probably thinking too far ahead, of how a lot of his friends have a real possibility to die."
They soon followed after him.
After they all sat down, Rimuru had his head on the table, just waiting for them to let themselves go.
"Hey Rimuru, if you need to ta-"
"No, just get on with it, I don't need emotional support from a murder machine."
Velzard just side eyed Guy, she wanted to laugh, but knew it was not the appropriate time.
After they all let themselves go, Iudex accepted their request.
They all awoke simultaneously as usual, Iudex welcomed them.
"Hey.. guys..?" After checking their moods, specifically, Rimuru's, he knew what was going on without having the need to ask.
"Let me guess, you lost your temper on someone because you had to consume an innocent person?"
Rimuru only nodded.
"Listen, I'm sorry for forcing you to do this, you have the choice to leave if you want to, I will not hurt you, I swear I won't, I will wait ages for another person to show up if I have to, just don't hurt yourself."
Rimuru refused however, stating.
"It's too late to back out isn't it? What's done is done.. let's get on with it.
I've already made up my mind, I'm decimating those humans.
If what you said before is true, they are already scheming against me and my country, and I will not let anyone die."
Guy and Iudex's eyes widen a bit at this, what kind of emotional roller coaster does one person go through to have so many different opinions in the span of a few hours?
"..Well.. if you say so.."
Guy had a cold sweat run on his back, if he was going to try his best and not let his subordinates die, at least one of them, won't the plan halt?
"Guy, what we said before, forget that, with Rimuru having made up his mind, we can carry on normally, I'm sure he'll be able to defeat them without your help."
Iudex said that infront of Rimuru.
'Cunning, sharp, witty, most importantly, wise, my respect for you is getting higher by the second.. Iudex..' Velzard thought to herself, he really was a frightening individual when it came to talking, he would put anyone to shame.
Guy only nodded.
"Rimuru, remember your promise to that woman you look like?"
Rimuru immediately turned to Iudex.
"Shizu? What about it?" He asked with a tone that was devoid of any despair and a glint of hope.
"Your turn to save them has come, just ask Great Sage how to do it, you'll have a lot of spirits, take some for yourself, 'Kay?"
Rimuru only nodded, he had a bit of happiness knowing he can fulfill her dying wish.
"And.. be careful of the grandmaster, Velzard, this is where I need you."
She listened intently.
"Disguise yourself and go with him, make sure the grandmaster doesn't do anything to Rimuru, I have a bad feeling he might do something wrong." He said with a pause before he turned to Guy and continued.
"As for you Guy, as we said earlier, increase the pressure on western nations and with that, you'll increase the hate for monsters, this might seem bad, but if we clear the opposition, they'll basically be forced to like us, won't they? Yes, artificial opinions are worse than actual ones, but if we don't do this, they'll never like us."
Iudex spoke in an 'us' way, he really was trying his hardest to assure everyone that they all had their important roles, even if Rimuru does nothing in his opinion, Iudex still assures him that he does.
"Alright, I'll get to it."
"I'll see you later, guys!" He noticed Velzard wanted to talk to him, even if she didn't say it, so he let her stay.
"What is it Velzard?" Iudex asked with genuine curiosity, she doesn't talk much during their meetings.
"Well, just wanted to ask, are you from my older brother's world?"
"Yes, Yes I am."
"How did you get here?" Velzard asked the question.
"U-uhm.. Well.. it's a difficult story.."
"Please, if you can just condense it, tell me, I'm really curious."
"Fine, I'll just make it as easy to understand as possible.
I wanted to make my friends' lives easier, so I asked to be sealed so they wouldn't have to worry about me, and I ended up sacrificing myself to gain eternal slumber, where in this Sleep Space I am practically the god of creation, but, you see, I don't do anything here, because I don't want to see myself in other people."
Velzard took those words in and could only nod, before asking.
"Who were your friends?"
Iudex responded, with full truth.
"Rudra Nam Ul Nasca, and the Scorch Dragon Velgrynd, although they both are different people now, I am sure they are doing much better without me."
Velzard looked surprised.
"Alright.. I'll see you later, Iudex."
With that, the emotional roller coaster of Rimuru has ended, he has decided to get stronger.
This is where the next brutal scene will be set up, Rimuru single handedly slaughtering everyone himself, not letting a single person come to him or his allies.
