Ewan and Silas were the only ones left in the conference hall.
"I'm truly delighted today, son," Ewan said, gripping his shoulders. "You spoke like a man with maturity and wisdom. I'm confident you'll lead this company better than I ever did."
Silas chuckled, his heart swelling with pride at his father's heartfelt praise. "You're flattering me, Dad," he responded, a hint of modesty in his tone. "But everything I know, I learned from you. You shaped me into the leader I am today. Your guidance, your example—it's why I stand here. You've always been my inspiration, my mentor."
"Alright, alright, now don't make me emotional." Ewan held out his finger. "Besides, I've got work to do at home. I promised your mother that I would be back early. If I am late, she will sulk. I am heading home." He gathered his stuff and left.
Ewas always carried a formidable personality and authority in the office, but he was always docile in front of his wife.
