Chapter 412 - Maya’s suicide attempt

Meanwhile, at Luis's suite, the atmosphere was far from peaceful.

Luis sat rigid on the couch, his eyes locked on the television, watching the news of Maya's death. His face was a storm of barely controlled rage, his fists clenched tightly on his knees. The tremor in his hands betrayed the fire burning within him, his hatred for her still seething even after her death.

"If I could," Luis muttered through gritted teeth, "I'd come after you in the next life… and haunt you forever."

Luis's mind drifted back to the events of the previous night.

Flashback…

It was well past midnight when Luis received the news that Maya had been hospitalized after a suicide attempt. At first, he wanted to dismiss it and let her fate play out without his interference. But a gnawing sense of unfinished business made him restless. There were too many unanswered questions swirling in his head, too much that felt unresolved. He needed to see her—if only for closure.
