Chapter 389 - His baby girl

Silas's heart skipped a beat the moment he saw the picture. His hands trembled slightly as he took the phone from Caleb, his vision blurring with unshed tears.

"M-my daughter?" Silas stammered, choking with emotion.

"Yes, your daughter," Caleb confirmed, his smile widening with joy. "She looks so much like you, but her eyes—those deep blue eyes are just like Esme's. You won't be able to look away from her…"

While Caleb continued speaking about the baby, Silas stared at the image of his baby girl, a bittersweet mix of longing, delight, and sadness in his eyes. He had not taken her in his arms yet. He should be the first one to hold his child, but he was forced to stay apart from his wife and daughter. A fire of vengeance burned within him.

It was because of one person, and he would make her pay dearly. A cold, determined look replaced the momentary softness in his eyes. "Take me to the hospital," he said with a chilling intensity. "I need to see Mr. Shaw."
