"Still denying!" The officer's derisive scoff filled the room, echoing with a sharp edge of contempt. His eyes bore into Silas, cold and calculating, like a predator circling its prey. "All criminals lie, but I know how to make them talk. Don't push me to use force. Be wise and confess."

Silas's jaw tightened, his resolve unwavering. "Even if you ask me a thousand times, my answer won't change," he hissed, low and steely. "I didn't do anything to her. She tried to seduce me, but I rejected her. I argued with her and slapped her for her audacity before leaving the hotel."

"Nice story," the officer mocked. "Your naïve wife might buy that, but not me. I know exactly what kind of man you are—a notorious playboy who wouldn't know loyalty."
