He was familiar with the Nash Group's collapse, but he had always believed it was purely due to financial mismanagement tied to a failed project with the Bass Group. Little did he know that Charles, too, had been entangled with Maya.
"Mr. Bass covers up all the rumors related to Maya," Esme added. "There is no trace, no evidence about her infidelity. She is too clever. And now, she has set her sights on you, Silas. I'm afraid..."
Silas pulled her into his embrace before she could complete her sentence. "Don't be scared, my love," he said reassuringly. "You are my strength. With you by my side, I can face anyone. This time, Maya will be exposed. I'll see to it."
