"You are on a vacation!" Luis sounded surprised.
"Yes," Silas confirmed. "You know, wife's demands – can't ignore it."
Hearing his words, Luis laughed. "You have a good point, young man," he said, a knowing glint in his eyes. "I know it very well."
A satisfied grin spread across Silas's face. Luis Bass was a man who could do anything to please his wife. Silas knew Luis wouldn't hold his anger on him for a long time as soon as he told him that he was with Esme.
"My wife's delivery date is approaching," Silas continued, "and she is becoming more and more demanding with each passing day. She has been asking me to take her out, but I couldn't give her the time with my busy schedule. I thought I should take a few days off and spend some quality time with her."
"You did the right thing, Silas," Luis said sincerely. "You should take care of her. Don't worry about Maya. I'll talk to her. She will understand your predicament."
