Chapter 114 - Victoria’s distress

Several days had passed since Esme had moved into Silas's villa, and the two of them had been enjoying a secret love affair. They maintained a professional relationship in the office, but the moment they returned home, they couldn't stop touching each other. 

However, Victoria had grown increasingly apprehensive about Silas and his relationship with Esme. She was furious that Ewan had broken his years-long promise to Colton, and it was all because of that woman. Her anger zeroed on Esme. She paced back and forth in the hall, her hands clasping together anxiously as she glanced up at the study from time to time.

Ewan, oblivious to the tempest brewing downstairs, remained sequestered in his study. The weight of overseas troubles sat heavily on his shoulders, demanding long hours and unwavering focus. He barely had time to even sit and talk with his wife, who was living in the same house.
