Caleb hurried out of the elevator; his mind preoccupied with urgent matters. He nearly collided with Samira.
"Slow down," Samira smirked. "What's the hurry? Silas is still in the interview."
Caleb was aware of the interview. He was not hurrying to meet Silas but someone else. "I know," he replied shortly and tried to sidestep her, his focus unwavering.
Caleb, however, was in no mood for idle chatter. He had other pressing matters to deal with.
But Samira was not so easily deterred. With a determined glint in her eyes, she blocked his path. "What is it, Caleb? You seem disturbed. Is everything all right?"
"Yes, everything is fine," Caleb replied, ignoring to reveal anything.
Undeterred by his evasion, Samira pressed on, "I heard that the interpreter had fallen sick. Silas has been worried about it."
