The day of the shoot…

As Esme readied herself for the day ahead, the persistent ache in her feet served as a stark reminder of the previous day's folly. It was hard to walk properly with her high heels.

"Oh, God." She grimaced, wondering how she was going to manage the demands of the shoot. She had foolishly boasted to Silas that she could handle everything, but now she was beginning to doubt her abilities. She berated herself for acting impulsively and cursed her own stupidity.

Her thoughts were consumed by fears of disappointing Silas and failing to deliver on her promises. She visualized him expressing his disapproval and disappointment, and her imagination only added to her anxiety.

With a heavy sigh, Esme forced herself to stand up and begin her preparations for the shoot. Despite her doubts, she knew she had to push through and do her best. She took a few tentative steps, wincing in pain as her feet protested the pressure.
