Chapter 84 - The regret

Silas went silent. He immediately realized he was upset at her for no apparent reason. His jealousy and insecurity had blinded him to Esme's genuine intentions. He had allowed his emotions to distort his perception, leading him to misinterpret her actions and lash out unfairly.

He was sorry and wanted to make amends to her. An apology wouldn't be enough. He had to show her, through his actions, that he understood his mistake and valued her contributions. In a silent vow, he made a decision to buy her a nice dress to express how sorry he was.

Esme retired to the room as soon as they arrived at the hotel. The argument with Silas had left her emotionally raw and she couldn't bear the thought of facing him any sooner.

Silas, on the other hand, sat in the café with Caleb. He sat hunched over, his finger tracing circles on the rim of his coffee cup.
