"Yes, he was," Caleb confirmed. "His manager urged the hospital authority to keep the whole accident incident a secret from the media until the show was over. He didn't want any public attention." 

Silas's eyes darkened with concern and disbelief. The weight of the situation with Daisy temporarily lifted as the urgency to be by his friend's side took precedence.

"You said he left early from the charity gala." Silas looked up at Caleb, his eyes sharp and determined. "We need to get to the bottom of this. I know Haris has a drinking habit, but he never drinks that much, especially not at such an important event. Something doesn't add up."

Caleb nodded, understanding the gravity of the situation. "I'll contact the event organizers and find out who he interacted with last night. Maybe someone saw something or knows why he left early and went to the bar."
