The day of the wedding arrived, and the hall buzzed with cheerful chatter and laughter. Ewan and Victoria stood by the entrance, graciously welcoming each guest.

Silas looked handsome in his black tuxedo, his heart thumping beyond his control. Thrilling anticipation warred with bone-deep nervousness as he waited for Esme.

Joseph and Leo stood by his side, mercilessly teasing him about his flustered appearance.

"Just relax, buddy," Leo smirked. "Your bride won't run away."

"This is a special day for her," Joseph chimed in. "Of course, she will take her time. Don't be impatient."

Silas took a deep breath, trying to calm his mind. But his heart was still racing, like a horse on a race track. Patience, however, seemed to have deserted him. His restlessness escalated with each tick of the clock.

"Do you need something?" Joseph offered, seemingly aware of his nervousness. "Water, maybe?"

"Shut up, Joseph!" Silas hissed.
