Silas grimaced, rubbing his brow. The unexpected visit from his mother had left him bristling, and the prospect of their conversation escalating into a full-blown argument only worsened his mood.

Oblivious to his simmering frustration, Victoria entered the ward and approached the bed with a bright smile. "Good news, dear," she chirped, her voice brimming with cheer. "I spoke with the doctor, and he says you are good to go home. The injury's nothing serious. It will be healed soon."

"That's a relief." Silas offered a mumbled response, his voice devoid of enthusiasm.

"I told Caleb to finish the discharge procedure," Victoria continued, bustling about the room. "Once that's done, we'll head straight to the mansion. Your father wants you to rest there comfortably until you're fully recovered. No need to go to the office or worry about the work. Your dad is taking care of all your business affairs, so you can focus on getting better."
