Chapter 5 - 5.How many “times” had you been spending with him?

Wen Yu had not protested from start to finish, much like the disappearing essence of their bond.

Her eyes were filled with resentment as she looked at Guo Xiang. Guo Xiang let go of her, his face distorted in a disdainful sneer.

"Are you trying to get close to Louise Luo?"

"Do you have what it takes? His high standards and unusual interaction with women are well known. And then... Wen Yu, even a single kiss makes you stiff as stone; can you handle the undressing?"

"This is my business, none of yours!" Wen Yu mumbled, avoiding his gaze.

Guo Xiang towered over her, his voice becoming uncanny soft.

"Perhaps you can't get rid of me, deliberately parading in front of Louise Luo to provoke me."

"Do you think I'd notice?"

Wen Yu cast a round glance at him.

"Guo Xiang, if it weren't for your plots against my father, your marriage with DongFang Chen or princess of the Iceland would be meaningless to me!"

"Stop your fantasies!"

Guo Xiang riveted his gaze on her.

Wen Yu forced herself to keep eye contact, unwilling to show weakness.

Guo Xiang's lips twisted into a mocking sneer after a while.

"You'll find your way back to me, Wen Yu! Let's wait and see!"

He then flung open the door and walked out.

Wen Yu's legs gave up, and she leaned against the wall, tears streaming down her cheeks. Guo Xiang was extremely despicable!

She had sacrificed so much for him for four years, only to be confronted with betrayal!

Wen Yu realized at this point that Guo Xiang was only playing with her and had no intention of marrying her!

Nonetheless, she kept daydreaming about their wedding.

Wen Yu sobbed with laughing at herself.

"Wen Yu."

Evelyn's voice could be heard close. Wen Yu wiped her tears away, looked up, and was taken aback.

Louise Luo stood outside with Evelyn and her husband.

Louise Luo had changed into a new outfit, a deep blue shirt with iron-gray trousers that exuded professionalism.

Evelyn was worried about Wen Yu but avoided addressing Guo Xiang.

She instead stated, "It's unexpectedly raining; we won't be able to play for now."

"Certainly!" said her husband.

"Let's reschedule, Attorney Louise.

Why don't you join Wen Yu? We have a business to attend to."

Louise Luo noticed the tinge of scarlet in Wen Yu's eyes, his gaze is cloudy and mysterious.

After a little pause, he softly stated, "It will be my pleasure ."

Evelyn exhaled, relieved, but empathetic to Wen Yu.

Wen Yu had no choice but to follow Louise Luo.

Outside, a storm was raging, with thunder and lightning striking.

Louise Luo proceeded to get his car from the parking lot.

A golden Rolls-Royce approached Wen Yu moments later.

She didn't have an umbrella and couldn't bring herself to ask Louise Luo to come out and help her.

After a few paces, her clothes were partially saturated. She was nervous in the car, afraid of upsetting Louise Luo.

Louise Luo gave her a sidelong glance, said nothing, and started the car. The club was located halfway up the mountain, and the car took several twists before reaching the bottom. Wen Yu shuddered as the car's air conditioning kicked on, her lips growing white.

Louise Luo pulled a coat from the compartment and flung it to her at a red light. "Put this on," he said quietly. She quietly thanked him. Draping his coat over herself provided instant warmth.

Louise Luo didn't turn off the air conditioning, his gaze fixed on the road ahead. Heavy gridlock had been exacerbated by the terrible weather, and despite multiple green lights, they had not moved.

Louise Luo retrieved a pack of cigarettes from the storage, lit one, and casually inquired, "How long were you with Guo Xiang?"

Wen Yu was momentarily taken aback but truthfully replied, "Four years."

Louise Luo displayed a hint of surprise; his gaze grazed over her slender, fair legs, a hint of desire lingering in his eyes.

Shifting slightly, he casually asked,

"How many times did you two spend together?" With a tinge of jealousy.
