Back home, Yuki and Yami waited for the night. The summer vacation was about to begin, making it a suitable time to take action.
"They are good girls~"
Having read the information about Mikoto's friends in Rasiel and thoroughly investigated them, all to prevent Mikoto from being betrayed, fortunately, they checked out clean.
Well, not entirely clean if we exclude a certain Yuri girl.
"Yes..."
Yami agreed with his words. Saten, Uiharu, and Kuroko were not bad at all. Despite their overwhelming curiosity, they were good girls.
"But... is it okay? Not returning Misaka-san's memories?"
Another factor was that Mikoto recognized them, but her memories were confusing, and she still didn't understand why they were in that city.
"Don't worry, the amount of Chronotons in Mikoto is quite high. If my analysis is correct, she will awaken her memories tonight..."
Yuki, on the other hand, smiled. Trying to explain things to Mikoto wasn't worth it; it was better to wait one more night.
"Well, it's time to hunt for more sisters."
With the sun setting, Yuki donned a clown mask and disappeared into the shadows.

"..."
In a windowless building, a man floated down in a tube filled with red liquid. Aleister looked at the screens, and one of them displayed various reports. The main one was that Tree Diagram had been destroyed, its base of operations and data erased.
But that wasn't the important part; Aleister was unaware of who had destroyed the satellite. It was unprecedented, considering Under_Line was everywhere in Academy City, and Aleister had his eyes on everything. Still, he had no knowledge of the mastermind behind the attack.
However, Aleister remained expressionless and contemplated this anomaly.
(Any failure in Under_Line?)
The first thing he did was search for potential threats and possible viruses that could cause damage or alterations to Under_Line. However, after multiple scans, he couldn't find anything.
"The fate of this city is changing; you no longer have control..."
Suddenly a voice echoed. It was Aiwass. However, Aleister paid no attention to this voice and thought deeply.
Some time ago, this voice had told him the same thing: a superior force had arrived in Academy City and was changing the city's destiny.
For Aleister, something like destiny was irrelevant. He didn't need destiny or anything similar. Aleister always believed that as science progressed, abstract concepts like destiny would become obsolete, and he could control his life.
But for Aiwass, it was the opposite. Every living being, matter, soul, or even inanimate objects had a destiny. Even the will of the world and the gods couldn't escape this.
Destiny was the key and guide for not losing one's way in the journey of life. It was the light through which all things reached their purposes.
The sudden change in Academy City surprised Aiwass. A massive crown covered the entire city, and the city itself used this light as a guide. The millions of inhabitants were changing their destiny, and the future changed — those who were supposed to die continued to live, and misfortunes and fortunes altered.
The destruction of Tree Diagram was just the beginning. Soon, all of Aleister's plans for this city and its goals would be destroyed unless this crown was destroyed. It would be impossible for Aleister to fulfill his desires.
Unfortunately for Aleister, he couldn't see the crown, and Aiwass had no idea who or why that crown was there.
The only thing they knew was that an incredibly powerful being was in Academy City, lurking in the darkness, waiting for the moment to strike. If they weren't careful, this city would collapse, and they themselves would be annihilated.
"Destiny..."
Watching the video of a clown singing, Aleister slowly opened his eyes and muttered. No one knew what he was thinking.

"Uchiha-san!"
The next day, Mikoto opened her eyes abruptly and shouted. Several drops of sweat ran down her face, and her breathing was heavily agitated.
Her memories had returned. Being shot in the head by Yuki had made her shudder, but she couldn't help but smile. After all, Yuki had kept his word; he had managed to take her back a year in time.
Yuki had also traveled back with her, and although she didn't know what Yuki had been doing in this year, as someone who had proposed this crazy idea of time travel, Mikoto knew Yuki wouldn't just sit idly.
"Mikoto Misaka: Uchiha-san, see you at the entrance of my dormitory..."
"Yuki Uchiha (Champion): ... Fine"
Sending a message in the chat, Mikoto clenched her fist. She needed answers. She also wanted to take the opportunity while Kuroko wasn't in the room. After all, Kuroko was busy trying to catch a troublesome clown...
Without wasting any time, Mikoto changed her clothes and left the room, unaware that her words could be misinterpreted as inviting a boy on a date...
"Ughh..."
What Mikoto didn't know was that Yuki had a smile on his face as he read her message. He agreed to meet for a chat. Mikoto had regained her memories, and Yuki wanted to give her the good news that her sisters were safe and sound. He also wanted to explain his plans and what he had discovered so far. The problem was the meeting place.
Tokiwadai's dormitories were exclusive to Ojou-samas, and a girl going out with a boy always caused gossip, especially if that girl was Mikoto.
As they had agreed to maintain the facade of their relationship as 'boyfriend and girlfriend,' Yuki thought Mikoto was following the plan. Now, Mikoto expected to have a date, aiming to divert attention.
So, using Tokiwadai as the meeting place wasn't a bad idea; it would only make the lie more solid.
"To hell with it..."
Shrugging, Yuki left the house with his head held high. No matter what, someday he would have to face that place, and what better time than now...
---
Touching her bangs, Mikoto was somewhat nervous. The summer vacation had started, so there weren't many girls in the dormitories. Mikoto easily evaded the glances of the few girls and waited for Yuki a bit away from the dormitory entrance.
Fortunately, Kuroko wasn't present; otherwise, she wouldn't let Mikoto go. Seeing her so nervous and glancing around from time to time in search of a certain person, Kuroko would immediately know it was Yuki.
Since they separated, Kuroko didn't let Mikoto go, and they kept talking all afternoon and part of the night. Especially Kuroko, who tried more than once to brainwash Mikoto, warning her to stay away from him.
Unfortunately, the Joker clown had been quite active at night, causing Kuroko's workload to increase.
"Sorry for the wait..."
After a few minutes of waiting, Yuki's figure became visible. Seeing him, Mikoto quickly nodded, and both walked together. However, Yuki took advantage of this moment to play a prank, holding her hand. Thanks to Mikoto, Yuki had to come to this devilish place and use all his power to evade the gazes that might attract that obsessive demon.
"Uchiha-san?"
Feeling the warmth in her hand, Mikoto blushed and lowered her gaze. She was speechless and quickly sought an explanation, trying to withdraw her hand. Unfortunately, Yuki wasn't going to let her go.
"Yuki Uchiha (Champion): We're 'dating,' don't forget. Besides, you invited me to this date."
"Mikoto Misaka: Date?!"
Cool as a cucumber, Yuki sent a message in the chat that left Mikoto speechless. After all, Yuki never missed an opportunity, and with his reminder, her invitation sounded like a date.
This made her internally timid and anxious. What girl wouldn't get excited about a date? Realizing this, her heart began to beat strongly, and she looked down at their entwined hands.
Was this a date? Mikoto didn't know, but deep inside, she had high expectations.
