"We've arrived."
Smiling beneath his mask, Yuki and his group emerged from their shadows.
The sun was about to set, bringing an end to the day of adventure. Now, Yuki and Inori wished to get home and clean up. Fighting all those monsters left them both sweaty, and even though their body odor had changed to a pleasant one due to the Apocalypse virus, they felt sticky.
But before anything else, Yuki needed to exchange all his loot for money.
"Wow."
Looking at several people emerging from the darkness, multiple adventurers opened their mouths. It was late, and many were returning to their families after exchanging their loot for money, so there were many of them at the guild.
Seeing this kind of teleportation magic was a first for them.
Yuki wasn't bothered by this; he was fine with the stares and curiosity, as long as it didn't escalate to the extent of the Goddess Champion fever.
"Ugh! I won't get used to this."
Holding her head in pain, Tiona felt dizzy. Being able to travel through shadows wasn't good for her.
Lefiya was the same; however, being a mage, she was much better.
The ones who weren't affected were Ais, Inori, and Est, who saw no issue.
*Shuaaa
"Good evening, Miss Eina... How was your day? I hope it went well."
While they were dizzy, Yuki didn't waste time approaching Eina at lightning speed.
This surprised the multiple adventurers, as most of them couldn't keep up with his speed.
Eina, on the other hand, didn't know what to say. This boy coming out of nowhere and speaking to her so casually was new to her. The fact that the Champion was such a cheeky child didn't match his reputation.
[Adam...]
Mana was speechless; this guy was good at seizing every moment.
[I'll pay you a brief visit later.]
With that in mind, Mana closed her eyes; she would make sure to talk 'nicely' to that girl since she couldn't do anything to Yuki at the moment. That didn't mean the women around him couldn't, as long as Yuki didn't cheat on her, eliminating the problem at its root wasn't difficult.
"Phew, his feet are fast."
Whistling in response, Tiona didn't hesitate to approach, at the same time thinking that Yuki was a playboy.
"Miss Eina, I'd like to sell all my loot. I hope the guild can support me."
Smiling beneath his mask, Yuki spoke so smoothly that Eina was caught in his words, with no chance to respond.
*Cough, cough
This boy was very cheeky, but somehow, she couldn't hate him. No, his aura and frankness made it impossible. But work was work, so pretending to cough, Eina tried to calm the boy.
And even though her companions had mixed looks on their faces, Eina smiled professionally.
"Of course... What materials did you get, Champion-sama?"
"Oh, come on, it's Yuki... Yuki! Stop calling me that."
"Puff, fufu."
Imitating a child's behavior, Yuki threw a tantrum, eliciting a small laugh from Eina.
And how could she not? This boy was jumping up and down, as if seeking attention.
"I'm sorry, but I can't do that, Champion-sama."
Shaking her head, Eina didn't accept his offer.
And how could she? This boy was a bomb in this city. Talking to him so casually could lead to misunderstandings, especially with the Gods.
And she already had enough trouble from this morning.
However, thanks to a certain Goddess, her headaches had decreased significantly.
"That reminds me... This is for you, Champion-sama."
Taking an envelope from her clothes, Eina took this very seriously, as the person responsible for this letter was very important. So she kept the envelope with her all the time, afraid of losing it.
"Oh?"
Receiving the envelope, Yuki feigned surprise. However, when he was about to open it, someone else took it for him.
*Shua
[What is this, Adam?!]
*Srrrrr
Tearing open the envelope without hesitation, revealing the content, Mana didn't give Yuki a chance to speak as she glared at him.
[Damn bitch.]
Reading each word, Mana clenched her teeth, while intense anger built up inside her.
After all, the letter said this.
[
Greetings, Yuki-sama. I hope you enjoy exploring the dungeon.
I also apologize for my boldness, but I took the liberty of hosting a feast in your honor, which will be held in two days at my humble abode.
Of course, the Miss Hero and Hestia are invited.
I hope to have your presence...
With admiration and humility... Freya
]
*Shrrr
[Die!]
Ripping it into several pieces, Mana didn't let Yuki read the content. She was very angry because she knew this was a trap and possibly that Goddess wanted to get her claws into her boyfriend.
"I see, an invitation, huh?"
But while Mana ground her teeth, she didn't notice that the pieces of paper were swallowed by the darkness, instantly reappearing the envelope in perfect condition in his hand.
[Adam! You're not allowed to go to that party!]
Seeing that her attempt to destroy the content failed, Mana didn't give up, using her plan B, threatening her boyfriend.
But her plan was destined to fail because Yuki ignored her threat.
"What's the harm? It sounds fun, right? Est, Inori."
Encouraging the girls by his side to respond, Yuki signaled with his eyes to Est.
"Yes, Master wants to go; I'll go too."
"Um, I don't mind."
[You...]
Feeling betrayed, Mana didn't know what to say. These two naive girls were dancing in Yuki's palm.
"Thanks, Miss Eina... And this is my loot."
Storing the envelope in his shadow, Yuki no longer paid attention to Mana. Instead, he returned to his innocent expression, at the same time that hundreds of crystals emerged from his shadow.
"This...?!"
Looking at the huge pile of mana stones, as well as unfamiliar materials, Eina and the rest of the staff and scattered adventurers opened their mouths in surprise.
"That's where they were, huh? Fiuu, that's a lot."
Blinking, Tiona wasn't surprised. She, like Ais and Lefiya, knew the massacre those three had done in the dungeon. But even though they knew that, they were curious about how much money had accumulated there, especially since carrying a huge adventurer's backpack or weapons was too cumbersome, and they lost mobility. Meanwhile, Yuki could store everything in his shadow.
"This will take a while... I hope Champion-sama doesn't mind."
With several drops of sweat and a forced smile, Eina called her colleagues who had come to her call, taking the loot.
"I don't mind; I'll wait."
"Thank you."
Arms crossed, Yuki didn't care about this.
"It's a lot."
Approaching, Ais looked at several mana stones, as well as some rare materials in that pile.
"Not a lot. As long as you have enough manpower, you can create that amount or more every day."
Looking at Ais with one eye, Yuki didn't lie. After all, having so many stones was due to his clones.
"Here's your exchange, Champion-sama. It would be a total of 14,696,969 Valis."
After exchanging a few words, Eina returned after a few minutes with a large sack of money.
*Gulp
Swallowing saliva, the group couldn't help but sweat at this amount. Needless to say, the adventurers were dying of envy seeing so much money earned in one adventure.
"Thank you, Miss Eina. I hope we continue working together."
"Yes, it will be a pleasure."
Swallowing the sack into his shadow, Yuki waved his hand, bidding farewell.
"Thanks for today, but this is where we part. Until we meet again, I'll make sure to invite you to dinner... Ais, enjoy your time."
"Huh?"
Without giving them time to respond, Yuki also bid farewell to the trio, being instantly swallowed by his shadow.
[My condolences.]
"Do your best."
However, before leaving, a mocking smile formed on Mana's face, and Inori gave Ais a pitiful look, who just tilted her head in confusion, unaware of the hell awaiting her.
