Chapter 68 - Chapter 66: Pillar of Light

"Hm~ So, where are the reinforcements?"

Looking out at the empty sea space from the delta point, Yuki frowned. There was only a runway and the sea in this place. However, he also noticed the red flares thrown on the runway, a signal that reinforcements would come by air.

"They're coming."

However, Gai, who was beside him, was not worried. He had already contacted them earlier, knowing that avoiding GHQ's eyes was not easy.

So now they just had to wait.

"Hm."

However, Yuki felt suspicious. He hadn't noticed it before due to Inori, but now that he had a cooler head, this was very suspicious. He knew GHQ wasn't foolish, so waiting for reinforcements, especially in an airplane, wasn't plausible.

Nevertheless, he shrugged it off. It didn't matter; he would handle them anyway. His chakra was recovering, and now he was more powerful than the last time.

"Here they come, a complete squadron," a black-haired girl named Kyo said. Like Tsugumi, she was one of the youngest members of Undertaker. She glanced at Gai with a smile before shrinking in fear at the sight of Yuki.

"Just as planned," nodding, Gai looked towards the sky with binoculars.

Fortunately, it didn't take long to spot a plane. Seeing this, Yuki just scratched his head.

(Maybe I'm overthinking.)

After several minutes, the plane released multiple Endlaves and well-trained soldiers.

"Hm? Military?"

"Yes, it's a little gift from OAU and the Remaining Nations. This is also for you, Yuki; your reputation precedes you."

"Understood," Yuki sighed tiredly. Only now did he realize why Gai asked him to accompany them.

"Haha, you're quite famous, Yuki," Argos, who had also accompanied them, patted his back. Yuki didn't mind; he just shrugged.

Apparently, his presence in Undertaker was more than enough for OAU and the remaining nations to take notice.

"Pleased to meet you; I'm in charge of this squadron. My name is Mark Milley."

Waving at Gai, he was a middle-aged man, blond, with a well-trained body. His sharp eyes made the scar on his face look fierce.

"Likewise, I'm the leader, Gai Tsutsugami," squeezing the extended hand of the blond man, Gai nodded.

Mark also nodded, but he didn't look at Gai; instead, he looked at the small masked figure beside him.

('Reaper')

The little monster at his side was very famous as the first Super Human, as well as a miracle.

He was sent on this mission with the sole purpose of bringing back the 'Reaper.'

To him and the remaining nations, Undertaker didn't matter, but the 'Reaper' was another matter. Mark, looking at Yuki, couldn't help but feel his skin prickle. As a veteran war soldier, he could easily recognize something dangerous, and his body screamed at him to run every time he looked at Yuki.

With just his instinct, Mark knew that Yuki was the real deal and also someone very dangerous.

This made Mark look at Gai in a new light, who had such a monster under his command.

"It's a pleasure to finally meet you, Your Excellency."

With a small bow, Mark was very humble in front of Yuki. After all, he knew that his small squad was nothing compared to Yuki.

"Hm."

Nodding, Yuki didn't pay any more attention to Mark; he still had a feeling that something was going to happen.

With a bitter smile, Mark looked at Yuki, who completely ignored him. However, he couldn't complain; Yuki was the target of his mission.

"Let's go; we still have a lot to discuss."

"Yes."

Feeling the tense atmosphere, Gai changed the conversation. Gai knew that Mark came for Yuki, but that was fine as long as it helped his plans.

Gai also knew that Yuki was not someone who could be controlled. If it weren't for Inori, Undertaker could only dream of having someone like Yuki in their group.

But suddenly, Yuki shouted.

"Run!"

After finishing her conversation with La Folia, Inori felt confused. What La Folia told her was the opposite of what Yuno said.

"Share..."

Muttering these words, Inori left her room. She thought it was time to talk to Yuki, and if La Folia was right, she would find out.

Arriving at the command center, she found Tsugumi and Ayase, who were watching the screen. Not only them, but several other members of Undertaker were also present.

Both Tsugumi and Ayase turned their heads to look for the person who entered.

However, looking at Inori, Tsugumi's expression became somewhat rigid. She was also a bit surprised. Inori hadn't left her room in two days, which led Undertaker to leave her out of this mission.

"Inoreen..."

With a bit of nervousness in her voice, Tsugumi called Inori.

Inori just looked with her expressionless face before joining the duo, who was watching the treaty at the delta point.

(Yuki...)

Quickly identifying Yuki on the screen, Inori couldn't help but call his name.

Yuki's existence in Inori's life had become very important.

Ayase, who was between the two girls, raised her eyebrows a bit before sighing. This uncomfortable silence had never happened before between them. Who would have thought that it was all caused by a guy.

(Yuki, you are a sinful man.) Despite her young age, Ayase knew how powerful Yuki's charm was. She also knew that if what Yuki promised was true, then she owed him a great debt.

Shaking her head, Ayase didn't want to enter this battlefield.

"The negotiations are going well."

Breaking the ice, Ayase spoke to further break this awkward silence.

"Yes... Yuki is there... Everything will be fine."

Unlike Tsugumi, Inori had a lot of confidence in Yuki. After all, she had called him, and a Champion wouldn't fall so easily.

"Even so..."

Looking at Inori's full confidence in Yuki, Tsugumi didn't know what to think.

"Yuki!!"

However, while Tsugumi was lost in her thoughts, Inori opened her big eyes before a scream escaped her lips.

This pulled Tsugumi out of her thoughts. She looked surprised at the screen that was now covered by a Pillar of Light.

"Yukin!!"

Tsugumi also screamed seeing Yuki's body swallowed by the light.

Ayase, on the other hand, was motionless, stunned. She looked at Gai's figure running while Yuki stayed. Something inside her trembled.

"Gai..."

Muttering these small words, a tear ran down her face at the same time the screen was interrupted.
