Chapter 63 - Among Us 2: Impostor

"Sick of Love, Not the Impostor"

Silence befell everyone as they read this message.

"Biri-Biri: She was innocent!"

No one responded to Mikoto's message; they gazed at La Folia's lifeless body one last time before running.

No one was certain.

Who is the impostor?

They didn't know, but one thing they were sure of – they couldn't trust anyone anymore.

Like baby spiders, they scattered in different directions.

However, no one noticed two small ghost avatars among them – the ghosts of La Folia and Yuno. Now that their avatars were dead, they could only exist as ghosts. Yet, to all the other members, they were, as their name implied, invisible.

"Princess of Black Belly: Ara~ welcome to the other world, Miss Gasai~"

A small red mark appeared on Yuno's ghost avatar. She was angry – accused without evidence and now had to endure this woman.

"Sick of Love: It's all your fault! If you hadn't died, I'd still be playing!"

"Princess of Black Belly: I understand... But they only killed me? I couldn't defend myself... I hope my future husband wins this."

Looking at Yuki's avatar, La Folia decided to follow him, and Yuno, of course, didn't like this.

"Sick of Love: Don't you dare, bitch! Yuki is mine!"

"Princess of Black Belly: How scary~ Yuki-sama, help, kyaaa!"

Immediately, Yuno's avatar chased La Folia's ghost avatar. She really wanted to strangle this woman.

As for La Folia, she ran in her ghost mode, passing through walls. She just wanted to taunt Yuno, and it worked – Yuno was too easy after all.

However, their conversation and actions were only witnessed by them – the deceased ones. The living still had a game to finish.

Running as fast as their little avatar legs could carry them, Yami found a particular room with multiple screens. Approaching, she clicked [Use].

Her screen changed, revealing the inside of the spaceship with various rooms – a security room.

While Yami was on the cameras, Mikoto was like a headless chicken, running up and down, completing missions. She knew that by completing missions, she could win this game. So, instead of hunting the 'Impostor,' she thought it would be easier to finish the game with the missions.

Yami, watching through the cameras, smiled. It seemed amusing to her.

However, what Yami didn't know was that there were many blind spots in this ship, areas without cameras – for example, where she was. She didn't notice that a small hatch in the room opened, and an avatar emerged.

*Bang Bang.

Two shots were enough for Yami's avatar to die. Yami was in shock, seeing her screen go black before looking at her little dead avatar. She widened her eyes at the avatar that killed her, blowing smoke from the gun's mouth. The avatar did its mischief again and slipped away.

Her little ghost emerged from her avatar. She couldn't believe what was happening. Yami felt betrayed by this avatar; she had started to grow fond of this person.

Looking at her corpse, Yami decided to go after her killer, now in ghost form.

[Report!]

Once again, Mikoto reported. She saw Yami's lifeless avatar. She had been running non-stop to win this game, but there was another corpse now. She had to admit the impostor was good.

"Emperor of Time (Champion): Did anyone see anything?"

No one responded to Yuki, just like the last time.

"Biri-Biri: I'm sorry, I didn't see anything."

"Crown Guilty:..."

However, Inori suspiciously looked at Mikoto. It was the second time, and both times, Mikoto found the corpse.

"Emperor of Time (Champion): If we vote off someone else, and they're not the impostor, we lose."

"Biri-Biri:..."

"Crown Guilty:..."

Both Mikoto and Inori stayed silent. They had learned their lesson from Yuno – not to accuse without evidence.

"Emperor of Time (Champion): Let's continue, complete the missions, and end this."

"Biri-Biri: Alright!"

"Crown Guilty: Yes!"

Knowing that one wrong move would cost them the game, they decided to continue.

Yuno's ghost, on the other hand, was now hugging Yuki's avatar. She looked dangerously at La Folia, who smiled mischievously.

Yami, however, was staring at a particular avatar – her ghost avatar. She turned her head to see her corpse and sighed. Her killer was an expert.

Scattering again, Mikoto had sweat on her forehead. She nervously watched the screen. This game was bringing out the best in her. She was highly suspicious of Inori, who, unlike Yuki, who had many chances to kill her but completed missions with her – or so she thought – Inori didn't. She was solitary.

However, as her avatar ran to complete another mission, the ship's lights went out.

"What?!"

An arrow illuminated, guiding Mikoto's avatar to the electrical room. Mikoto hesitated a lot, but she couldn't stay there. She had to turn on the lights; after all, she couldn't see anything and could be killed at any moment.

So, gritting her teeth, she decided to go to the electrical room.

*Bang Bang.

She didn't know when, but an avatar appeared behind her and ruthlessly shot her.

"So, it was you?!"

Looking at the screen, Mikoto touched her head in frustration. She felt so stupid right now – the impostor was in her face all the time.

She watched as the avatar that killed her started dancing. It was the victory dance. Mikoto clenched her teeth, looking at the smug avatar on the screen. She made the electricity in her body start flashing in rays – she was angry and depressed at the same time.

[You have lost]

With this message on the screen, Mikoto's body went limp.

On the impostor's screen, however, it was the opposite.

[Victory]

Looking at his avatar on the screen, Yuki smiled.

"Ha~ this is so easy."

Who was the most dangerous avatar?

For Yuki, the most dangerous avatar was La Folia. Yuki was sure she wouldn't swallow his crap like the rest of the members. Yuno was also another dangerous character, but unlike La Folia, Yuki could still manipulate her. That's why he decided to kill La Folia first, and it worked.

He didn't even have to try hard; at most, he turned off the lights.

He didn't close the doors, nor did he have to resort to tricks.

"Pufff, amateurs."

This game was designed to train heroes, to use tricks and not be deceived. But for Yuki, he simply saw it as a very addictive game.

"Biri-Biri: UCHIHA-SAN! TRAITOR! I TRUSTED YOU!"

"Golden Darkness: Traitor..."

"Crown Guilty:..."

"Sick of Love: Well done, Yuki! Kill those accusing bitches!"

"Princess of Black Belly: Hu hu~, honestly didn't see it coming... Good game, but the next one will be different."

While the chat exploded with curses and complaints from Mikoto, Yuki just smiled before starting the next round.
