Chapter 76 - case

August 13.

-The people in the United States were crazy, -narrated a man.

Many individuals were following everything related to Billy Carson, who began to follow with continuous gestures everything that happened. According to investigations carried out by different people, the truth was reached after many clear arrangements, cameras, affiliated individuals, behind-the-scenes men, and some members of the institutions that did the work to determine the cause.

In the afternoon, a rainy afternoon, on the road heading to Liverpool, Billy Carson was driving on the highway, navigating through the wild drops that obscured the profiles. In less than two minutes, the accident that shocked the world occurred, as talent began to be recognized. From the songs, the lyrics, and the way of singing, Billy Carson was pure rock, the rock that was driven by hits. He was now known as the rising star at the level of Shaggy, the man of the year 2000 and 2001, but Billy was too. The Grammy fight was much stronger.

Exactly at 3:45 pm, the news of the accident arrived. In response, the usual procedures were carried out, unaware that the person involved was someone famous. Unfortunately, they arrived half an hour late, and because of that, whether it was the slowness, fate, or other factors that led them to take twice as long as usual, has been widely questioned by the relevant authorities.

In the records and the autopsy, there were no signs or samples of alcohol in the driver. It is reported that the driver had a brief moment of sleepiness, judging by the way the truck and the other two vehicles were involved, by the shape of the brakes, the truck's steering, and the security cameras. The truck never exceeded 45 miles per hour, but at one point, it reached 120 miles per hour, crashing with two cars. One ended up crashing into a post, and the truck and the other car broke through the safety railing and fell into a small ravine.

After many rumors, a waiter mentioned that Martin, the driver who caused the accident, crashed after drinking two cups of coffee near a bar.

-So that's what the news says, -Billy commented.

-Many other things, kid, - said Jad.

-Stop calling me... - receiving several blows, each blow activated by numerous shots, a quick shot preventing Billy from complaining.

-You're—

Dodging a combination of blows, each blow coming and going in a different tune.

-Hahaha, you're good at this, kid, - said Jad, ending the round, earning a painful grimace from Billy, who hated how he used to shut him up.

-You have a new album, anything you want to say about that? - Jad asked, lightening the burdens and the moribund look from Billy, thrown by the youngster.

-I do, this album will change people's thoughts, I focused on just following the course, all that came to my mind was the success I needed to continue with my songs, - Billy commented, taking a step to start playing with the pear, periodic punches in seconds, to improve the coordination of his hands as best as possible.

-I'll be watching, after all, I'm your biggest fan. The first time I saw you sing was above all one of the best songs I've heard, - Jad recounted.

Billy, from his practice, just nodded, focused on his boxing practice. Just singing the songs left a bad taste in his mouth. Singing them sometimes inspired a certain confidence that everything would get better, but at times, he wished that change would come.

He heard some footsteps walking; it was Grace Gummer, a girl who attended the gym and suddenly started paying attention to Billy. She always kept a safe distance, and when the young girl approached, he just winked at the unsuspecting girl, who turned her head. She had a certain charm and hung out with another slightly larger girl with black hair; both were very nervous.

-The girls are becoming more interested in you, although I can't find that girl who was following you from afar, - Jad commented.

-She went to Australia, and got sponsorship in her city, - Billy commented.

Roger Ames was pensive about the demands. A musician, a great musician delving into acting, was simply sensational. In front of him were five people. He tapped his fingers against the table, he had the power to speak with people and recruit them.

Jerry, very eager and quick, held the gaze of the room and thumped his cane on the floor to rise, with some heaviness. He steadied himself with the chair and the table.

-We have many actors, but why don't we create a product that lasts forever? You like money, I like knowing that the boy will focus on things that are not harmful to his health. If he can survive until he's 30, I'll consider it a job well done... I envision creating the Warner image, unlike Disney. Our boy will be different; he will be what everyone aspires to be. Rebellion is in his demeanor. If we limit the rebellion, it's more than enough. The image of the bad guy is something we can use to make a lot of money. Everyone knows that these kinds of things attract many fans. He's a full-fledged rocker, - Jerry concluded.

Alan F. Horn listened to everything with a presentiment about what Jerry wanted to achieve.

-So, you mean Disney is for kids, Warner is for teenagers, -Alan asked.

-Exactly. Billy will be the face of Warner's music. He has more talent in one finger than all the members currently at Warner. He's good at learning anything related to music, be it guitar, piano, singing, violin... he's a master, - Jerry commented.

To everyone's surprise, Ahmet accepted this firmly and even dared to say, -If you don't know, you're fools. The kid is a music genius, - Ahmet commented.

-Would you extend the contract for how long? - Roger asked.

-Eight more years, until 2015. Enough time for the waters to stir and for us to make a lot of money. We just need to create the prototype of the star we want, - Jerry commented.

-He has a new album,- Roger asked.

-Yep, it's very good. The songs will be a guaranteed success, - Jerry commented.

The accounts were clear. Billy was about to get a diamond album in the United States, something he already had in Canada, Argentina, and the United Kingdom. In many countries, the platinum record was signed, the sales pace was superior, and with the contract signed by Jerry and the low investment, they recovered the cost by much. The last deal with Seven was the best-selling number in history, and even they entered. Their sponsorships were up in the air, and it's possible that, in four years, they will earn twice as much money.

-The kid is capable of attracting people to the movies. That's the question, - Alan F., Warner's entertainment director, said. He wouldn't disdain an urgent call from Roger Ames.

-We just need to do it. If his acting skills are outstanding, he just needs one movie, and we're set. We'll continue making money with music; he'll keep releasing songs, at least until he has to stop for world tours, - Jerry commented.

The future meeting for Billy was clear, and surprisingly, he might find himself in a personalized compression in the following days. Billy has his product. Jerry was key; he'd been training Billy in all sorts of skills to succeed in the media, which interested everyone at the table and raised doubts. Can stars be formed? Yes, but so systematically. Everything Jerry has done seems to be a carefully plotted plan.

-First, we'll test the waters. If everything turns out the way you've plotted, we'll continue. We'll support Billy at the Grammys and in the acting course, but he must double the contract time - Alan F., Warner's entertainment director, commented.

Without further ado, Jerry doubled the time.
