"Smarus, if that is true, then we are in deep trouble," She finally spoke.
There was something about the way she said this that bothered me. It wasn't the apparent fear in her eyes or her pale complexion. It was how she said what she said. It wasn't an educated guess. It sounded like she was 100% sure about what she said. I frowned.
"Irene, how can you be so sure?" I questioned her.
She opened her mouth to begin to say something, but then she stopped for a moment. She thought to herself for a moment and then opened her mouth.
"I'm sure everyone here has a god that they either know of or even worship. The god that protects my household is Thor," She began.
Everyone nodded their heads. I forgot that in this world, there were beings called gods that were supposedly extremely powerful beings. They will grant blessings and gifts to people that they like or care about.
