As the sun was setting, everyone began to flood into the conference room. The tables were arranged in a circle, and everyone had a plate in front of them. Lily sat to my right and Aurora to my left. Arlo sat across from me on the other side of the table while Donkor was about halfway around the table from me. I called for all of us to meet, but I just realized that I didn't know what to talk about.
Well I did, but I didn't know how. Presentations weren't my strong suit. I sighed. I guessed I could only take it one step at a time. Also, just for the record, only Donkor, Sonia, Rowan, Arlo, his wives, and my wives were here. I didn't trust anyone else.
"Welcome and thank you for coming. I will try to keep things brief," I began to speak.
"Why are you so formal?" Arlo laughed. "We're best friends, so relax!"
"Indeed. We are all in the same boat, for better or worse. Seeing you behaving like a normal human is more concerning than anything," Donkor chuckled.
