Friday finally came. Was it because I had a date with Myra? Partly. I was really excited about going on my weekend camping trip! I couldn't wait to go back into a life filled with adventure! Unfortunately, I had to attend my classes first, but the day was almost over.
"Boss! We have a problem!" I heard Rowan's voice in my head.
I was confused and angry about this. I tried to focus my thoughts on communicating with him.
"Why is your voice in my head? And stop screaming."
There was silence. I wondered if this was a skill that only Overlords had. However, I soon got a reply.
"It could be because I brought you back from the dead as a spawn. Or maybe because we used to have a contract or the fact we used to share a body. Whatever, we have bigger problems," He said in a rush.
I sighed. I planned to ignore him, but he kept on talking.
"It's about Beau. She was absent today, as you know, but I just found out why. Come to my dorm," He explained.
