Back home Madame Yate sat on a luxurious sofa going through some files when a tall slender curvy girl walked in dressed in a dark green gown, a pair of white heels and a white purse, smiling towards her.
"Mom!" The young lady called softly driving Madame Yate's attention towards her
"Oh my gosh jasmine! You came?" Madame Yate asked.
Jasmine Cole is a social media influencer who came from a wealthy background. Madame Yate happens to be her mom's best friend and as such has chosen her to be Xavier's bride, Jasmine has been very fond of Xavier since their childhood and is very happy to be his bride but it wasn't same with Xavier whom only took her as a sister and nothing else. Jasmine embraced Madame Yate warmly, and the room seemed to glow with their reunion. Madame Yate, a woman of sophistication, continued to review the files as she spoke.
"Yes, Mom. I returned the previous night and thought I'd drop by to see how you're doing," Jasmine replied, taking a seat opposite her
Madame Yate, with an air of authority, closed the file and fixed her gaze on Jasmine. "I'm glad you're here. There's something I need to discuss with you." She said.
Back in the hospital, Xavier finished his meal, still troubled by the mysterious tension in the air. He decided to take a short walk outside the ward, hoping the fresh air would clear his mind. As he strolled through the quiet corridors, his thoughts swirled with concern for Queen. Xavier returned to Queen's bedside, his mind racing with newfound awareness. The monitors still beeped rhythmically, but Xavier couldn't shake off the feeling that something was amiss. He looked at her for a while and took her hand in his but to his surprise it was cold, his heart skipped, he quickly called the doctor and anxiously waited for them to arrive. The doctor rushed in, a sense of urgency in their movements, and began examining Queen. Xavier's heart pounded as he watched, a knot forming in his stomach.
Back in Madame Yate's elegant living room, the atmosphere shifted as she began to unravel a delicate matter with Jasmine. "Jasmine, my dear, you know how much I care for you and consider you family," Madame Yate started, her tone measured. Jasmine nodded, a puzzled expression on her face.
"I've been thinking about your future with Xavier, and after giving it much thought, I believe you are a perfect match for each other," Madame Yate continued, her eyes locking onto Jasmine's. The room seemed to hold its breath as Madame Yate revealed her plan to arrange Jasmine's marriage to Xavier.
Jasmine's eyes widened in surprise, a mixture of emotions playing across her face. "Xavier? But he's like a brother to me," besides I don't think he will agree to this union", she protested her voice filled with genuine confusion.
Madame Yate, however, remained steadfast. "I understand, my dear. But I believe this union will not only secure the bond between you both but also strengthen our families' ties. Think about it, Jasmine. Xavier is a successful, accomplished man, and together you can create a powerful alliance. Besides I see the way he looks at you sometimes and my heart tells me he strongly cares about you"
"Really?" Jasmine asked eye widened
"Off course my child"
"Ugh...! What about Queen? Last I checked Xavier is still entangled with her" jasmine asked struggling with her feelings for Xavier and the thought that he has another woman in his life makes her feel very unhappy
"Ohh forget about her! She's nothing but a poor little slut who will be taken care of in no time, trust me" Madame Yate said with an assuring smile on her face.
Meanwhile, Xavier, in the hospital, anxiously awaited the doctor's assessment of Queen's condition. The tension in the air thickened as the doctor exchanged worried glances with the nurses. Xavier's mind raced with a mix of fear and uncertainty, wondering what the future held for Queen and himself.
