I stand by one of the open windows on this floor, take a deep breath in before shutting my eyes. Noises and voices come through and reach my ears, but Ava's is nowhere among them.
She has no shadow as of yet, and thus nobody to help conceal her presence, not to mention she's been strictly prohibited from using any and all kinds of magic since the stunt she pulled with Rosemary. So, I should be able to find her voice or her scent around the place.
Alas, I fail to capture either of those.
Where could this girl possibly be right this moment? She may have gone to see Rosemary. Her bond with her remains powerful to this day, if I am not mistaken.
No, the likelihood of this scenario seems thin. After leaving my car and Avery with me yesterday, she came back to the mansion through the gardens.
