Rosemary's pov:
I pull my hand away from underneath Izzy's nose when her warm breath brushes my skin, relieved she's still alive.
Sitting back down by her side, I contemplate the clock on the wall, indicating six thirty in the morning. Almost time for Izzy to leave for work as per usual.
Watching over her all night meant no sleep at all for me. Wonder how I'll be able to work the entire day. Especially with the headache thundering within the bounds of my skull. My entire body feels as though it was hit by a truck.
It might just be the beginning of a cold I caught yesterday.
After checking for any missed calls or text messages, I place my phone back on the couch near me, noting that there are none. What am I doing? What game am I playing here? I managed to confuse myself with my own actions, no need to even imagine what Nathanael must think about it.
I may have overreacted yesterday by calling him, right?
