I keep my arms down, at waist level, as I vigorously rub my hands together. An attempt at healing from the stinging cold that seems to be paying off. I'm slowly, but surely regaining my sense of touch in my fingertips.
Eyes straight ahead, above the elevator doors, glued to the floor numbers, shifting regularly as the descent goes.
Aside from the sound of friction my own skin is creating, the stifling silence around gives me the impression that seconds have become minutes, while minutes have graduated to hours.
