Nathanael's POV:
My attention split between the route before me and the static figure drawing further and further on my rear-view mirror as the car moves forward.
Still able to distinguish every detail on her, every trait, every color, thanks to the faultless eyesight I've been blessed with from the very day I came to this world, I can see that Rosemary stands in place staring in my general direction, following the vehicle with her eyes, assumably.
That is, until I take a turn, allowing the trees behind me to eclipse her silhouette from view. Now, my attention is split between the road ahead and Rosemary's final words to me before our separation.
Not so much the part that had to do with Isabelle's presence at the orphanage, but the one about the donation she'd suggested I make towards the establishment.
