Nathanael's POV:
"I am not one for those either. In any case, the trial has been scheduled for this week. I haven't heard anything that has to do with you so far, so you shouldn't be bothered,"
I keep to myself after this statement.
She remains silent as well. Her heart, however, speaks on her behalf, beating like a drum in its place as her chest rises and falls accordingly, forcing her to inhale deeply at times and exhale loudly at others. Actions I am not very sure she's aware of performing as she does.
Reading people's minds is not an ability I can say I've ever coveted, not that I recall, but right at this moment, I can't say I wouldn't seize the opportunity to hear the thoughts running through her head if it presents itself to me.
Although perhaps I should sort the havoc ravaging my own mind before thinking about hers.
