Rosemary's POV:
The colorful lights and blinking neon signs tell me that Salina's shop is open for business. I've been thinking about this moment for the entire day, I was worried I wouldn't get to talk to her after the weird morning I had. On the bright side, I still have my job… For what it's worth in the grand scheme of crazy things.
I slowly push the door open and take my first steps inside the store. I definitely did not miss the abominable amalgamation of aromas in here, but I'll get over it. Aside from my sense of smell, my sense of hearing is the second to be stimulated.
A soft and strained feminine voice reaches my ears very shortly following my arrival. The woman seems to be pleading with someone for something I have yet to understand, "Are you really sure? There's… Really nothing you can do to help?" she mutters her choked words. She sniffles one too many times which leads me to believe she's crying.
