Nathanael's POV:
I stare my own reflection down scrupulously, gripping the mirror frames in front of me tightly between my hands. I fear I'll break it but my fingers have latched onto it. I can't let go.
Green, black, then green again, then black again… My chest heaves as I watch my eyes switch between the two aforementioned colors. Every fiber in my lungs screaming, every cell in them dying for respirable air. I feel that burning sensation creep and crawl all the way, expanding to every part of my body.
The muscles responsible for my facial expressions twist unendingly, rendering a pathetic demeanor on me.
My vision blurs as the voices in my head grow louder. Voices commanding me to commit all sorts of heinous acts in their names.
I try to stabilize my breathing, but to no avail. I have no say over my trembling limbs either…
